considering that every staff member I've seen supporting it are the ones highest up in the ranks (whereas the ones opposing it are all newer chat/resource moderators), this is not unlikelyI've contacted Energy about getting threads on "How" deleted and they told me they had to talk to Mick about It, and it's been so long. I don't see why they can't just delete them if the account is sold / not for sale anymore or the current owner just wants the previous threads gone.
It's honestly so frustrating and dumb. All my accounts have been locked aswell, and all I'm doing is trying to help friends. I feel like staff want this to happen after the suggestion on removing accounts...
what if the Mojang employees have premium?
Here are some more if you didn't like that one!!Compare a minecraft account to a life or death situation nice!
This is incorrect. Also, staff removing threads upon request of sold accounts that are no longer owned by the OP has stopped all of a sudden because of many requests. (It was always done in the past) Imagine if a lot of fires were starting so firefighters just stopped doing their jobs suddenly! I also find it funny how some of the staff members don't give a shit about their own community. (not all) "hehe you shouldn't have violated Mojang's ToS!!!" - knock off that bullshit and at least have sympathy for your own users. You see this shit being said and realize, it's no wonder there's so much enmity for these people.
Okay cool, can you disable the og section as there’s people who don’t use this site anymore and their accounts are still listed there. This is incorrect.
Our policy regarding removing minecraft account sale threads is that we will remove any threads for an account that you have associated if you request it through a report or a support request.
All the higher up staff say otherwise...This is incorrect.

Higher up than me?All the higher up staff says otherwise...
Besides you duh. But okay nice, I'll make a support request right now then.Higher up than me?

Why not make it like you need a certain amount of reputation? Or maybe only for users that have bought or sold a minecraft account, you could verify this in a private support ticket or something, I know my idea is a bit stupid and also a little bit complicated but that would be the best way to secure the OG section.Good question. I see this being said a lot, so I will make a statement on this:
The temporary thing I’ve been advocating for is to make it so it’s restricted to premium, but only users who have purchased premium before the lock waves happened. This would mean, it would be guranteed that no Mojang employees are in there.
But I honestly don’t think Mojang employees are going to be paying money and therefore funding a site which breaks their ToS. I doubt they would use their own money, because this is their job and isn’t personal, and in order to use company money, I would assume they would need to get it approved and have access.
But let’s assume they are willing to buy premium. There are still ways to find Mojang Employees. MCM staff can see a full list of users who viewed a thread at any time. It would be very easy to find who the Mojang staff account is. I’ve actually done this before when I was staff, based on a list of confirmed Mojang employee accounts.
Either way, having it be premium-only for the time being is a lot better than fully public.
