(IRL)Right hand of my Teamleader
So this isn't really a legit job or title but my team leader had me and an other person under his wing as his second. Training us to apply next year as teamleader also. This was a warehouse vacation job. He learned us pretty much everything on his department and an other department and we took over leading when he was temporally gone so the team was still going smoothly.
Skills learned/improved:
-Leadership
-Managing different parts of the process
-Quick adaption to sudden things
-Multitasking
(IRL)Salesman
With this is kind of weird i was still a low intern but because i was there a long time and only 2 legit staff people were in the store ( with one of them being the manager), when new interns or even legit staff got hired. i was asked with the other staff to learn them the ropes of the store.
Skills learned/improved:
-Leadership > in training other people
-Handling difficult people
-Multitasking
(RH)Sim Hotel
ive been 5 months helper and an other 2 months moderator this was my first experience in being staff. The hotel had around 850 people online every day at the time i was staff there. As helper my job was to help new people in the hotel and support the moderators in try to fix a problems if possible ( like to try to stop fight ). or else report it to the mods. As a moderator i was more busy with tickets ( in game /reports) and if i had the time to help people with their questions. Besides this job i was also a trusted player in the gamble and trading community on the server where i'm a middle man for trades and gamble prices. Also supporting this community by keeping the economics up to date of certain group of items.
Skills learned/improved:
-Handling difficult people
-Maintaining a community
-Handling with stressful situations/problems
-Multitasking
-Leadership > helping/maintaining a group of trusted players for the gamble/trade community
-Management > setting up economics
(RH)Devo Hotel
Devo Hotel was a new hotel that i went after i quit Sim hotel and had a little break. Wasn't as much people but was fun it had around 100 daily(still growing up to little 275). I applied for Moderator got hired and in a month i was promoted to Event Manager. my job for it was besides supporting moderators lead a small team and think/build events for the hotel. Hotel got closed because the 2 owners kept fighting non stop. Devo then opened its doors again with one owner and a new co owner and asked me to be the manager. My job was just supporting the owners where it was needed. Helping with choosing new staff members, moderation, building official rooms, setting up and doing events. this was for 3 months and then the hotel closed for good. At the time of closing the hotel again it had around 250 daily online.
Skills learned/improved:
-Leadership > training people, complaint handling, leading teams.
-Management > thinking/setting up rules, making guidelines for new staff, making economics, hiring, meeting setups
-multitasking
(MC)Haunted
HauntedMC was my first experience in as a staff member on minecraft servers. The server had in the time i was staff around 1000 players daily. I was asked by the owners to be moderator(lowest rank in this server). Because i was well known (mostly in the Skyblock community). And i was always trying to help improve things there. My job was helping players when needed and doing tickets of reported players and the general moderation on the server in the chat and against hackers. Besides that i was try to think of ideas to improve skyblock. editing the economics in skyblock, fixing some official builds.
Skills Learned/improved:
-Maintaining a community
-Handling difficult people
-Management > Fixing economics
(MC)Breaking
Start of 2019 was looking again for a new server to play on. after months i found one it was then around mid juni, i liked it so started playing and after few days i applied for staff it was a fun server but it was a little bit neglected even tho it was around 80 players atleast 24/7 (on skyblock one of the gamemodes). And i got helper in less then 2 weeks after i joined the server. Pretty hard because you don't know the community and stuff but i tried. After i think it was in begin august i was promoted to moderator. and end september to srmod in november i got kinda promoted to skyblock gamemode manager. In the end my rank wasnt made yet the whole background was getting fixed so i was stuck in srmod rank while gm manager. besides this i was also the discord admin. I was mostly a skyblock and survival staff member but because of the lack of staff, i was more a general staff but main server were skyblock and survival. (it had factions, skyblock, survival and prison). Through the summer i made sure to let skyblock gamemode to be active more so in all summer it went from 80 to 140 players at peak hours. And general it was 110 most of the day. The whole server it self had around 1100 player daily with peak times of 1500 players. And with the lack of staff and also my timezone allot of the time at that time i was alone.
My job as those ranks:
Helper: on this server helper rank was more like a jr mod. So it was general helping players with questions and moderation in the chat and against hackers. And help keep it active.
Mod: Same kinda as helper just with more perms (mainly World edit and couple skyblock admin perms)
Srmod: small time donations support, General support on the server/forum and discord (reports, questions), moderation in chat and against hackers. And having more perms then mod like Gamemode1. i did some events too on skyblock and on survival mostly
SB Gamemode Manager: Tho i still had srmod rank some perms were added in skyblock to me so could do more. But my job was pretty much the same as srmod and supporting new staff members. With that also made an event team for skyblock and survival. On this server i learned the most but my previous experiences helped me allot to get higher up better.
Discord admin: i got asked to fix and beautify the discord server so that what i did.
Skills learned/improved:
-Handling difficult people
-Handling with stressful situations/problems
-Multitasking
-Leadership > helping/maintaining a team
-Management > making economics
-Complaint handling
-Maintaining a community
-Improvisation
-Maintaining discord > setting up bots, fixing/making channels, beautify the server
(MC)Sanctum
After events of breaking (around 4 months later) i got asked for a new starting server. My starting rank was admin, i worked on setting up and maintaining discord. Ive helped the owners with setting up and making staff guidelines/introduction papers. setting up rules and making punishment guidelines for staff and making TOS for the server. I got promoted to manager and become besides the discord manager also skyblock manager, my job as manager was helping the owners improve skyblock, maintaining the skyblock community, searching/help hiring new staff members for my team and train them. With an other manager i helped setup(think of ideas while the manager put it in) some of the paid crates and the kits for the ranks. i also worked on making the skyblock shop economics and thinking/making basic events for the server.
Sadly because of unfortunate events we had to stop the server before it started.
Skills learned/improved:
-Management > Making economics, making TOS, making guidelines
-Maintaining discord > setting up bots, fixing/making channels, beautify the server
So why me?
Well with all these experiences (around 3 years online and 1,5 year irl) i would say i have al lot of knowledge. My experiences speak for it self of what i can do or cant do yet. I can invest a lot of time in helping the server from 1 to 14 hours a day.
some plus things about me:
-Im comfortable enough ( knowing what i can and cant do and stuff) then i always try to help out in other things. like trying to start doing things by my self and improve things, thinking of better ways in help out community or each other
- I have experience in Stores so people that are disrespectful i can handle 95% of the time
- Im always nice i have the rule be respectful to me and ill do it back
- I always wanna learn more and im open to learn more
- Because of my health problems means i got allot of free time so ill be able to help the server between 1 hour - 12 hours a day.
some minus thing about me:
- Im a team player but ive allot of experience in the team not doing much and then i have to do allot. So if im really focused i can be a but of lonely one man army type of guy haha. help as much as people as i can until im bit overworked.
- Even tho with the experience i had in minecraft servers, ive never had a training in mods/hacks. most things i needed to figure out my self. i know the basics from some hacks/mods but not allot.
- Because of my health even tho i can help it, it can happen that im suddenly gone. i try to say it that im afk or finish helping but sometime i cant.
- Im not a technical person but i always would try as long as someone explains/shows it a bit. its not my strongest point but willing to learn and do more im always for it.
Payments
I love to work with a good team and helping the server improve. Ive always done it for free but now with my health and not working and cant go to school. if its possible i would like to get paid. the amount is all up to the owner as long as its a fair price of course.
Other things
with recording things my laptop isnt the best anymore so it can be difficult to record because i see more and more servers as a must. im able to record on phone tho. And my preference of server i personally like is more of non seasonal. so server that doesnt reset ever 1-3 months would like more of a server that is there for over a year before resetting(nether and end not included ofcourse).
If your reached the end thank you so much for taking the time and having a little intrest of reading my open application. I hope you do consider my application. And again thank you for reading have a nice day.
