Opening a hosting company?

So I have some money from my server and I was looking for other income streams (made another post about that).
And I saw a couple people were making a hosting company so I was thought of that as being a good income stream.

So now im wondering:
1.How much would it cost to start a hosting company
2.What would I need
3.How would I go about getting the things I need eg Dedicated servers

If you don't know how to set up a hosting company, I suggest not trying. The industry is overly saturated and you'll just waste money if you have no idea what you're doing.

No. Market is extremely saturated with kiddies, alot on mcm, who resell cheap ovh vps's and dedis at <$2/gb. Quality is nearly identical between all hosts like that and most of them are ran by idiotic owners who dont know how to manage their servers. You need vast amounts of knowledge in setting up and managing various servers, ip's, etc.. then you have to be able to beat the extremely low prices already while offering better performance and quality than the rest. Its not easy and its not cheap.

I'm not planning in opening one (atleast not now) As I know without the knowledge it will be a failure I'm just want to know the whole process of how it all works

I learned this the hard way lol. I switched to doing free hosting for ppl as a generous offer, expectations arent as high when youre not paying :rofl:

Well, I see what you're saying, but you won't know how to set up a hosting company unless you try to make one.
But I see your point.

I dont really want to go into something that is so risky but i mean I dont think there are many things to do in mc that arent over saturated.

What I was thinking of doing at one point then realised who unreasonable and stupid it was. I was going to make a hosting site that offered custom plugins with one click installs that would somehow be locked so the people cant get the jar. And id also offer services where by ticket u can request custom plugins for an extra price and graphics and things. So it would be more focused at people trying to make a proper server and also mean youd earn extra money from graphics and so on.
