Well, imo I believe it's because in the same day, the US bombed, and killed Jihadi John. So it's only logical that they would be pissed off that their mouthpiece was just killed. Jihadi John is the guy you see in all of the execution videos and stuff, speaking english.
I personally think we should look more into humanitarian ways to deal with the situation, rather than send airstrikes and troops to deal with them. You can't change an extremists views, but you can work on the kids and educate them.

Which ironically enough is an extreme version of a religion. You think other religions didn't have extreme versions? Christians hunted "witches" and burned them at the stake. And let's not talk about crusaders and all.
However, the big difference is that happened during middle ages, not during the 21st century.

i love godHitler's war had nothing to do with religion. He targeted Jews, but not because he hated their religion. The three reasons Hitler went to war -in no particular order- are:
Ideological (racism)
Political
Economical (many claim that this was the prime reason)

If I remember correctly, it was Hitler that said
"Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord."
And I'm sure that was the prime reason he used to sell to the German people to justify war (Economical). He knew the real reason behind it.
Not to mention cowardly, they didn't fight army to army. They killed 160 innocent people, who gives them the right to do so. The people they savagely murdered had family's, kids and parents. Not to mention friends. They fact that they can take one life never mind that many lives is insane.
Trying to justify the actions of extremists or saying that they had any sort of real, genuine reason to murder people is disgusting. What they believe in is vile and because of that they are equally vile.
