Hi all, so I've been contemplating whether or not I should upgrade my pc components. I decided that I am but when it comes to the savy part of pc building, I have no clue where to start. The specs I'm looking for is to run games "smoothly" like microsoft flight simulator, call of duty, battlefield, and a few other MMOs. At this moment, I don't have a budget so any recommendations please shoot them my way.

Respectfully,
Champ

- AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
- RTX 3070 or 80 (When it comes out)
- 16 Gigs of 3200 mhz speed.
- Motherboard doesn't really matter
- Power Supply 550 watt +
I dont think he means a top tier setup, you dont need that to play those games, probably could run good with ryzen 7/i7 & 1070 with 16gb of ram

You just said the same as me only changed the gpu. xD, I would however buy a ''newer'' gpu to play games high end games of the future.
3070 is overkill for that. I run gta at 30 fps with only a ryzen 5 2600 and a 1050 ti 4gb with 8gb of ram

besides that, I dont know about that but I do know a guy who plays it on a 5 year old GPU
If you have 30fps, you're fine on MSFS.

You do release the 3070 is about the same price as the 1070 ti? If its better it doesn't mean its more expensive..

Why would he get a 1070 over a 3070, the 3070 is literally gonna outperform the 2080ti for like 150$ more than a 1070

Kinda a pricey build but worth it:

I9-9900KF (Cheaper than the K, only difference is no onboard video which isn't needed tbh)
32gb RAM (honestly 32gb is becoming the minimum for a lot, for streaming, gta v and other games i highly suggest no lower than 32gb)
1660 TI - not the best GPU, but honestly I play many games with no issues

I also have 11TB of storage but thats optional lol i spent around $1500 on this all

Thank you for all the suggestions so far, I'll be taking note to do further research.[DOUBLEPOST=1599786330][/DOUBLEPOST]
Promotional link, not a gift link. This doesn't stack, so if you're thinking about buying keep that in mind. Also, in order to redeem the code, you need have a payment method on file with discord.

Why, 11TB?!

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if someone had 11TB of hard drive space. I have a plex media server with tons of movies, shows, podcasts, etc. which at the moment takes up around 4TB. I'm nowhere even close to having a satisfied collection.

bruh why tf would you spend 700$ on a gpu and not be able to afford 3600mhz ram which makes infiinity fabric run faster...[DOUBLEPOST=1599797933][/DOUBLEPOST]

1.) Your cpu is being bottlenecked by the gpu
2.) 16gb is more than enough nowadays
3.) 11 TB is way too much, you can barely even get close to 3-4TB unless you hardcore record and save all your videos over a span of 2-3 years[DOUBLEPOST=1599797956][/DOUBLEPOST]

Never take NVIDIA's word for granted[DOUBLEPOST=1599798017][/DOUBLEPOST]

yes because 30 fps is so good. With 360hz monitors coming out and people that play 1440p at 240hz I don't see a reason why not to get the 3000 series.
