Ok, guys, this has really been bugging me, is it just me or do other people hate this as well?
WHY TF DOES EVERYONE SAY COMPANY.

It's just stupid, this is a Minecraft server setup, it's not a company, your twelve years old FFS.
Why are you using the word company? Are you a registered company? No, didn't think so.

I know this sounds like a little thing but it just really makes me cringe when I see a post like this:

MC SETUPS FACTIONS IS RECRUITING STAFF! WE are a NEW COMPANY WHO ARE SETTING UP FACTIONS SERVERS! We need a CEO, CFO, A public relations manager and a human recourses department,(most of these people are like 12 - 14)

It makes me want to KMS. Like WTF it's just so cringy!

Is this just me or do other people feel like this?

I didn’t mean your post. I meant when they use “company” they’re trying to get people to blindly join because it says “company”; seen many users invest in “companies” just because it said that.

I agree that they shouldn’t use it without providing some sort of proof they are actually a company.

Oh sorry ahah, but yeah, I even look up them all. not a single one of them so far is an actual company, it pisses me off even more when they call themselves MCBuilders LLC or Mcbuilders LTD. Uggggh xD

A company doesn't need to be registered to be considered a company. Alot of companies start small and only register when they are making enough money to legally have to.

A company is "a commercial business". By posting threads about it on a forum offering their services to the public they are commercial.

A business is a "commercial activity" If setting up servers for people is their commercial activity and they are advertising it publically then by definition it is a company. Yes people go a bit far with the whole CEO, CTO etc. But its technically the correct use of the word.

They are fine calling it what they want, but the LTD, LLC part isn't correct and shouldn't be doing it. If they did want to register the company as anything other than LTD but had LTD in the name say later on, it would get rejected. They would need to rename everything before they could do so.

Sure most of it might not be a "official company" but their are users on here who make some pretty high figures.

Even I make what could be considered a somewhat decent amount for my age per year. My point is some of these "kids" make a lot off their company's. I do however understand your point about some startup being called a large company but who knows what the future holds..

I disagree, the definition of a company is: a commercial business.
And this is what's this website is all about, even for that one user selling small builds for $2, to him its a start to him its a company. and you... you're just an asshole

I'm so sorry, I must've forgotten about their very high-level security which makes sure you're 13 and not 12. To my knowledge you just had to tick a box. Anybody could tick it, a 3-year-old dog could click it.
