Question should be - why shouldn't they? yes it may take some time, but really, it benefits the user more as someone will be more interested in buying it.
People are interested in buying accounts from high-rep sellers even without proof

Well thats up to them. Even if I was buying off the "most trusted member" i would still like proof.

I think it should be optional unless requested. Most of the people selling accounts here won't scam you. *Most, not all*
If the seller wants to waste time and end up having users ask for proof, then they need to go get proof.

People lower than 200 rep should have to show proof while people with higher than that only show proof to serious buyers.
I could see that helping, most people who are going to scam get banned way before 200 rep too.

I only show proof to buyers if they are actually going to buy. However, 90% of my customers usually don't request for proof as they know I'm trusted and own the accounts listed. I don't publicize proof due to the fact that other people can take advantage of it, and use them to pretend that they "own" the accounts to scam.

People that are new or lack a reputation should be required to post proof, but higher-rep sellers that have a higher amount of vouches shouldn't be forced to.

If its made optional, then I think If asked by ANYONE, proof should be supplied. Its only fair really. Also , If your not scaming, you've got nothing to hide.

Why dont you water mark it / put "Style MCM" on it?

Watermarks can be removed typically fairly easy.

That's even more work for nothing. People who buy from Style know he's reputable and won't scam so there is no reason for him to post proof.

It doesn't even take that long to add a water mark.
It takes long just to log into a server, type "Hi MCM" (or whatever message is required), save a screenshot and open that in Photoshop, add a watermark, and then upload it to Imgur to be posted here. Now multiply the time it takes to do that by 30 and you have how much time it would take a reputable seller to provide proof for all the accounts in their shop.

I'd say with at least 5/10 successful trades as well since 'rep' could be a lot of funny and friendly ratings rather then actual 'vouches'.

Personally I think that the users that are trusted and are known to not scam shouldn't have to provide proof of the account unless they wish to on the thread or to serious buyers only. Anyone without a certain amount of successful trades/low amount of 'rep'/posts should have to provide proof no matter the account.

If they put their name in the msg, surely there's no need for watermark as it says in the text.
That is true, but even without the watermark it takes a long time to provide proof. Also you could make the argument that someone could just Photoshop another member's proof to make it seem like they own the account.

Without a watermark other people could use it as their own proof and scam.
Not if someone puts their username in the chat along with MCM. Like "accountname"> Hi, theunnamedgamer from MCM - account proof.

Fair enough.
I don't think there is an actual 100% way of not getting scammed and preventing scammers etc.
Just like I had an impostor add me on Skype just now. (Glad i check to see if it was real)
