I've been a long time casual landscape maker. Since I haven't had to do much serious work, I haven't been pushing myself to do high quality works that many others do. We can say that currently I'm an amateur working on his craft.

I made a post on Planet Minecraft about one of my terrains and am suddenly being asked to make maps on commission. I've sold maps before, but that was when I was part of a build team and a 'leader' would give me work and handle payments. It's been years since then and I don't know how much I should price!

Since I'm no professional, it would only be appropriate to sell for lower than others in the field. How much should I be charging for terrain, especially if some of the requests the clients make will be partially learning for me?

I've primarily used World Painter to shape the terrain, but am starting to delve into World Machine. I'm not completely comfortable with it but am slowly learning.

What I've done with just World Painter (some stuff is 2 years old and isn't entirely reflective of my current skills):

What I've recently done using World Painter and World Machine:

Hm, tricky. You're at about the same level I was at when I started doing WP commissions, but I dont recall what my prices were like back then. What's the largest size you can do now? if it's under 8K, ask $100 or so for that size, if it's above ask $150-200. For 1K terrains, ask about $20. Use that as guideline.
