I've been a long time casual landscape maker. Since I haven't had to do much serious work, I haven't been pushing myself to do high quality works that many others do. We can say that currently I'm an amateur working on his craft.
I made a post on Planet Minecraft about one of my terrains and am suddenly being asked to make maps on commission. I've sold maps before, but that was when I was part of a build team and a 'leader' would give me work and handle payments. It's been years since then and I don't know how much I should price!
Since I'm no professional, it would only be appropriate to sell for lower than others in the field. How much should I be charging for terrain, especially if some of the requests the clients make will be partially learning for me?
I've primarily used World Painter to shape the terrain, but am starting to delve into World Machine. I'm not completely comfortable with it but am slowly learning.
