Promotion of Other Forums - Should we allow it or not?

Hello folks!

So, I'm writing up this thread to see what you guys think about allowing users to promote other forums and websites.

Currently, it is not explicitly stated in our rules that the promotion of other forums and websites on MCM is disallowed. However, it has been stated publicly that we do not allow the advertising of other forums and websites by Mick.

This has resulted in a little bit of controversy about what is and what isn't against the rules. So I'm here asking for your feedback. What do you guys think about members being able to promote other forums on MCM? Should we allow it? Should we not? Why do you think what you do?

Neither social bin or media mart copy minecraft market in any way. Can't you tell by the names?

They are not a copy of MCM at all. They have nothing to do with Minecraft.

in some way's they are the same, it's just taking a forum section "Accounts" and turning it into a full sized forum about it when you can do this on MCM which is kind of a competitor to MCM.. there might be different things about them, but most of this stuff is doable on here.

Clearly you have no clue what either of those sites are. SB and MM are for Social Media, hence the phrases in the name. MCM (Minecraft Market) is for Minecraft related business, hence the name.

i do know what they are, a place to sell accounts.. social media or not, you can do either or on mcm.

Because they are a lemonade stand, so people selling apples don't harm their business. Therefore, no competition. MC-M is for Minecraft, whether you can buy things of other topics or not, it's main focus is Minecraft, and the majority of this forums' threads are Minecraft related.

Skimming that forum, I found 0 social media related accounts. Please tell me where you found the social media accounts?

How would they lose users? People still come here for Minecraft, because you don't sell Minecraft stuff on our website. Vice versa.

Welcome to life. If people only come for social media on a Minecraft forum, it never really fit in the first place.
