Okay so heres the back story, user by the name of @NicoNicoNii made a loan request on the day a scam report has been opened againts him Nor did I know this and proceeded to give him the loan, now this has happened with a few people, scam reports need to be seen or have an option when dealing with a user it adds a flag to them mentioning there is a pending scam report againts the user. This will slow down Exit scammers from scamming more innocent people like me for example.

So when dealing with the user it will have an (i) near his name that notify you there is a pending scam report etc.

I'd put it at the bottom of their profile box, under their reactions. It is rather crucial to still see their reputation.

my opinion if there is a scam report against someone, I wouldn't care about rep.

I think a giant red rank for example would be sufficient. Or something that is really eye catching.

Maybe do this? It would replace your custom title with red text saying "PENDING SCAM REPORT" and if you clicked on it, it would take you to the report.

If the person has more than 1 scam report on them, it shall replace their profile picture with a "Deal with Caution"
and maybe links to scam reports on profile.

omething like this?:

Like i said roy , i'm not against that suggestion. I said that its a good one. But i don't think that is needed to jump to extremes and mark the person with the opened scam report.
The scam report may be true but also may be false. You will need both sides to come to a conclusion whether it is a legit scam or not.
There are also other factors for the determination of the legitimacy of a scam.

Exactly.
The purpose is to show a report is there.
You can then go in and judge it on your own.

A less noticeable warning may still cause someone to get screwed over.
If you have just a warning in general that there is a report open, it is then up to the general public, or whomever may be curious, to go in and review the original report and the return defense.

You are missing my point...

You are defending and thinking only for the reporting person. What about the reported i say? What if he is clean? Or what if someones only opens a report just to mark the reported with that thing?
Did you saw what Deathcaptain said? This is what i'm talking about. And no that is not "poor philosophy" like you said, that is his reality and how he would comprehend that. Why do you reject him and his opinion? Believe me, there are so many other users that will think the same way. And that is their right to do so.

This is why i say that it is not a good thing to "mark" someone with a label before you come to a clear discloser of the situation.

I clearly understand your point, however, one person being scammed out of $200 because they had no idea some guy was exit scamming, quite clearly outweighs the possibility that someone could have their business and income damage for a week at max due to a false scam report. Personally, if my income were to drop by 50% or even 75% for a week or so simply because people misjudged a scam report, yes, I would be mad, but not as mad as getting scammed $200+ by an exit scammer.

Although, I know what I said. I also agree with both of you. But I agree more so with you in a business sense, it should indeed be, below the reactions. this way you can see the "Rep Points" (weather its bad or good, if they're highly reputable the Scam Report Notification wont matter as much because clearly they're trust worthy)

So I agree. It should be down under Reactions. (Hopefully the scam report notification takes you to the report) so you can see the report, see the rep easily and make the call yourself. Proceeding at your own risk.

I think if someone has an open scam report, they should be blocked from sending or receiving messages from others. It hides the humility while allowing an investigation to go on behind the scenes. It won't harm anyone's reputation if the report is proven false, and it prevents the user in question from trying to contact others while an investigation is going on, so if the person is a scammer, it keeps people safe. When other users message this person, it could say something like "Cannot send messages to this user at this time" or something like that?

The only con is that the scammer can still message people on other platforms like Discord and still try and scam from there.

You're not wrong, I don't 100% disagree with you.

However false scam reports do tend to happen.

For example say I'm working on a website for someone and my only means of communication with them is through MCM.
That would disrupt that, and my business because of a false scam report. or a scam report for a refund of something that has been completed months ago (Would also count as a false report)

The problem is most scam reports are false/get resolved... So people could make bots to make scam reports on people they have grudges and stuff on.

Users are innocent until proven guilty. If you’ve had a bad experience with someone and you feel they scammed you, you can open a scam report but they are always quickly checked by M6 first before being publicly posted so a system like this wouldn’t work anyways.

The “read before posting” thread in Suggestions already says this.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
