Your going to get a cheap, insecure way of doing things for $10. If your looking for security you need to make sure they will take the proper precautions, not save your passwords, and not leave back doors into your server.

If you have seen my bio, you can see I'm half way on becoming a security professional. Ok. Thats a lie. There is still a long way to go. Plus, finding backdoors is oftly simple and you can check if your server has been exploited with: lsof -p $id to see any odd processes, and there are other tools, like RootkitHunter, chkrootkit, OSSEC and a few more. With this being said, security is my highest priorty here. And, I always suggest to change your passwords when I'm done. I'll even do a few security measures, like whitelisting IP's so only yours can join the VPS/server, I could even block ICMP requests too. Doesn't matter. Point is, with $10, you can get things done.
