Got a simple question for you guys who deal with building and pasting schematics in the Minecraft servers.

Question: How do you blend the terrain efficiently when pasting a spawn or lobby schematic into the world?

Note: I know you can use the //brush with worldedit but is there any new METAS or methods you guys use to blend everything efficiently compared to hand placing or worldediting using brushes?

I'm not sure of any easy way to do it, it's always a very long and painful job. I normally just remove all trees from the area, and then use a voxel brush (/b e melt) to blend it all together. I turn any water near the edges as well to grass just to make the blending easier. After that I just go over any messes on the boarder with a grass sphere brush masked to any blocks to clean it up (//br sphere grass 5, //mask !0).

I'd certainly recommend voxel over worldedit for any smoothing. Sadly I don't think there's any commands to do it all quicker.

Thanks for the reply, I'll checkout Voxel and see if can attempt your method.

Mango right on all that. Blending CAN be very difficult. There no real easy one command or anything. Here is a blend I did recently (down below) Like mango said but feel he didn't stress enough lol. PLEASE get voxelsniper, the blending in my opinion is FAR better then world edit and can really help the blending process. I my self use the blend tool with voxel sniper, put on a Bug brush (about 15 to 20) then blend the land. I really disregard anything that is there at the moment (besides important structures) and just go right over everything. Disregarding what blocks are there and more picturing the shape of the land I want first. Then go back and paint it to look normal and make any minor fixes.
