Hello there!

So yeah, it's been suggested several times to add rainbow usernames. Since at the moment MC-Market can use all financial support it can get, I've decided to consider this.

I was thinking of adding it and giving users 2 options.

  1. You can pay for the rainbow quarterly. Every time it expired, you'd have to buy it again.
  2. You can pay a larger one time price.
So BOTH options would be put available. This feature is purely to support MC-Market and is nothing but cosmetic.

What approach or price would you guys like to see?

I obviously want this to be fairly unique but at the same time want to make it affordable.

A while ago I remember someone (don't remember who, sorry) suggesting that you should get a rainbow name if you purchase all of the other available name colors. I thought this was a good idea and would encourage people to buy lots of colors and would make you lots of money, while at the same time making the rainbow names rare.

Your ideas work fine though.

I remember someone saying this as well, and I think this would be the best way to go - I mean, this gets you the money you want, and they get a cool name color (for free after all the other colors, of course).

Maybe instead of rainbow there are gradient color options
Ex. light grey to dark grey, red to orange, blue to green, etc
or a custom color tag​

On second thought, although I still like the idea nara and I presented above, if this was in the Account Upgrade section I'd buy it :D

MC-Market doesn't need financial support and it's not exactly in any financial trouble. BeBosny just made a big purchase and wants to make his money back as soon as he can and this is a way he can reach toward that goal. Not that there's anything wrong with that, as that's business. But there's no reason to hide it.

That being said, I don't think there's anything wrong with the idea of selling rainbow names. It's a nice cosmetic feature. I do think it will look weird and all, but in all reality, I know there's tons of people that would buy one, so by all means, add it. I'd probably add it as well.
