Looking very clean! I really couldn't suggest any improvements/changes, very sexy indeed. Well done :D

the "section" with parallax laptop image is empty so either do something with it or remove it, too much padding above "hello there" text (about you section)

Not this is just my preference:
Id make skills section with the grid same color and then use the grid color you used for the references section

The site itself is really nice I like it, also that username checker gave off cloudflares error so it could be down

Thank you for your detailed review :)
I added the parallax laptop image as a placeholder, I thought it would look boring just having text on the site.

I will test out your recommendations about the colours and paddings later.

The references will be filled later, this is a non sliding carousel, which has an iframe with the site in it. It will be lazy loaded, so it will only be loaded when the user gets to that point and uses the controls.

Hello guys.

I have now 2 years of webdevelopment experiences and wanted to renew my portfolio site.

What do you guys think? Any recommendations or improvements?

Link: https://samuel.moutinho.org/

I wanted to keep the page simple and fresh for the next months/years

Let me know your thoughts
Uh Osnabrück, da bin ich des öfteren unterwegs ^^.

I think that the website is well made and all... but a bit boring to look at. I would also wish for a bit more color and "freshness".

Nice, freut mich ^^
I will think about adding some more colours to it. Maybe some more content as well. Took me ages to add privacy policy and legal notice[DOUBLEPOST=1551823634][/DOUBLEPOST]
Parallax style. Interesting take.

The tertiary font choice seems iffy to me (the one under heading titles). It kind of offsets the site a bit and not in a good way. I'd just use the same font as the description ones.
Yes, but it should be like a small description, maybe it would look a bit monoton with the same font as on the top. After seeing your meaning, the font does not fit tho the other ones and the content. I should chabge it

you can fix the issue with one font actually
setting font-weight to higher number (I sometimes even do 999)
adding letter spacing and such can make the font look entirely different

There is no bolder font for this one. I have it from google fonts. Also maybe a quick recommendation for you: the font weight is defined in 100 steps like 100, 200, 300 etc.

I'm not a fan of the blue-green gradient colour on some of the text. Doesn't match the fresh vibe I got at the top with the orange/sunset colour.

Other than that i think it's a pretty nicebsite. Easy on the eyes and simple to get through

Hello,
Thanks I already heard the same from a good friend of mine. It was intended to catch the user with a nice view at the beginning and the sunset colours on the nav should match with the header. So I didn't want to make it monoton just with one colour scheme. I added the blue / green scheme to doesn't "hurt" the user with the catchy orange/yellow all the time. The blue/green sets up a chilly colour which is easy to read and doesn't catch up the users eyes all the time. Hope you understand what I mean
