Re-add the 'Shop' tag in builds.

Personally I would much rather prefer to have a seperate tag for build shops (like before), now there's just either Selling or Buying, adding the Shop tag again will benefit buildshop owners and will be easier for people that are actually searching for a shop. I miss this tag.

The "Premade Builds" forum is there solely for non-exclusive builds. If you're requesting a non-exclusive build you make a thread there with the "Buying" prefix or if you're selling, you use the "Selling" prefix. The new system is far more simple and means that people don't have to choose between setting it as Shop or Selling.

Sorry, I misspoke. If you want to sell a build exclusively or unexclusively I don't see why they can't be under the same prefix. State which yours is in the title if you'd like.

The idea of 'shop' is a thread that sells multiple builds at once, instead of selling just 1 build. That makes a difference. If I'm looking to buy multiple things in the same style, I might sort for 'shop'. Since there are SO MANY threads, having a prefix to sort out the threads that are being re-used constantly is a necessity.

Little extra note from me.
Today I'm giving away free build but it turns out "Free" also has been removed...not sure who's crazy idea this was but is this prefix also redundant? I appreciate renaming Builds section (now there will be less "Building" related threads) but this prefix change is a major setback in my opinion and I cannot understand why you changed this ...

Its not as if the amount of prefixes was creating clutter. In fact, it was providing a nice breakup of an infinite stream of grey prefixes

It's now been more than 3 months since this was suggested so I'll bump this.

Just a thought... At first when this prefix was removed I was a bit confused since it was a good feature and used by many but now after latest update it seems it might have been done on purpose (more exposure to stickies) "Shop" tag made it easy for buyers to quickly find what they are looking for (many people are specifically looking for cheaper non-exclusive builds which were posted under "Shop" prefix) but now since there are no specific prefix people are forced to browse way more pages/treads to find what they need and I'm sure many people now end up buying what they can find instead of what really fits the most for their needs...

Stated reason (by Mick) why this prefix was removed: "Anyone who is selling products is running a shop though. The prefix was useless and just split the offering threads in two for no valid reason."

The reason is very clear for me and many more people but apparently not for Mick.

If it's truly necessary then I'm prepared to show exactly how important "shop" prefix was by creating individual threads for each of my builds (30+ builds) and "Up/Bump" them regularly. I'll also encourage other non-exclusive sellers to join me do the same. (This would create the situation where fist few pages would be taken by only 2-3 sellers and the rest would be pushed to back, I'm not keen to do it but I'm forced to) Then maybe Mick will realize the purpose of "Shop" prefix...?

I agree that my original way of thinking about this was probably a bit flawed and am working on plans for redoing prefixes for all categories in the next announcement.

There are a whole bunch of suggestion threads about prefixes which I will be looking at when deciding, including this one. I'll move this to denied in the meantime though.
