Good evening ladies and gentlemen!

I am coming to you in need of some passionate, experienced, driven, hard-working developers to expand our currently small yet very experienced and efficient development team with those who are looking to push the capabilities of what Minecraft can do.
I need developers who are willing to put in the time and grind to make the next big thing. The next factions plugin, the next towny plugin, the next MCMMO plugin, the next economy plugin...

Also looking for individuals that are capable of doing extreme customization to existing plugins like Mythic Mobs, Pex, MultiVerse, NPC's/Citizens. We are taking the mechanics of some of the largest and most popular games out there to date and implementing them into a cultivating experience in your Minecraft world. This is a server that you have never seen before and one that will provide thousands of hours of content.
These plugins are ideas that I have been curating and very passionate about. I'm looking for individuals just as passionate about joining a project and pushing the limits!

Pages upon pages of more intimate detail will be shared with interested individuals in our discord so if this is something that immediately gets your interest come to hop on board!
I am not interested in companies that already have a team of developers that they send out for commissions and then take a cut. I'm looking for dedicated individuals who want to be a part of something that will change the landscape of Minecraft.

Your skills will be tested via a technical interview to ensure you meet our requirements.
Technical Requirements:
- Fluent in Core Java.
- Considerable knowledge & experience with MySQL.
- Basic understanding of MongoDB.
- Experience with the Spigot Library.
- Knowledge of good coding practices.

Things that we'd like:
- Experience and knowledge with RESTful API and TCP/IP API services.
- Experience with Networking (TCP/IP).
- Experience with Threading.
- Experience with Git.

What you will receive:
- Fair payment for the amount of work done.
- Fun, exciting and helpful development, staff & management team.
- Chance to learn new skills and techniques from our advanced codebase as well as from our great development team.
- Help from developers regarding any issues you run into.

Our side of things:
We use advanced techniques and backend technology to improve our player’s gameplay and improve our services in general, we have an advanced codebase with advanced data storing and fetching mechanics that will provide an amazing yet simple aspect to fetching and storing data.

Thank you! -WhiteWolf

i would help but you seem very unprofessional, to start your logo is a shutterstock image inverted with some text added and based on what i can tell your company does not even exist. not to mention the way you explain things in the post. what do you mean by a TCP/IP api? do you just mean an api? and what exactly are good coding practices, do you mean naming conventions? and you do know there are multiple packet types, right? tcp is not the only one, have you heard of udp?

I want to start by mentioning the fact you don't know what TCP/IP means yet want to go on about it as you do makes everything you say seem both stupid and unthought out. TCP/IP refers to the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and the general Internet Protocol, honestly, it's like the first thing you should know if you work with networking. Also, it's not referred to as a 'Packet Type', its referred to as a Network Protocol, I don't know where the heck you got 'Packet Type' from...

Saying unprofessional I think you meant to say startup?? I'm just making text posts trying to expand my dev team and look for staff members. You are correct in saying its a Shutterstock image, its a place holder image that I got made a while ago while I'm waiting for an MC Logo, Banner, and Thread design to be completed. Why not wait before making these posts your probably going to ask? Well, I'm not interested in sitting back and waiting to get this going so I'm making strides to advance this company further whenever I can. You gotta start somewhere my friend. Every major network or server started out as an idea so have a little compassion.

If you want to touch on unprofessional, the grammar and writing in that post is absolutely spot on and I did a great job generalizing what I'm looking at going for and wanting to do. I can't really give out a whole lot more information publically because I feel like I have a lot of ideas that are going to be unique to this server and this server only. It's not spammed everywhere and written with a middle school level of errors. Id love to direct your attention to the level of "unprofessionalism" that you're calling out here:

Multiple accounts posting multiple threads in MCM to join this server. No text context like an advertisement post just this image and someone actually called you out on it...

Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones...

I appreciate you starting out your post saying "I'd love to help but..." but maybe ask a few questions and get the broader picture before you think you're just gonna knock someone down for what you perceive is a lack of knowledge. We know there are multiple packet types we have just made our decision's on how we want to pursue the development of these plugins as a group. I'm not attempting to be a d**k either but I'm going to defend my company and what I'm trying to do here. Regardless thank you for taking the time to reply to our post and id love to @ you when I get my professional logo, banner, and thread design done.[DOUBLEPOST=1595693683][/DOUBLEPOST]
Why code a completely new factions plugin there's like a billion forks
Great question and thank you for asking! I've taken a lot of time and looked at the capabilities of factions and towny and I do not feel they have the ability to fully emulate the in-game Minecraft experience I am trying to provide. I just used the description of factions/towny to give an interested developer a generic idea of the direction one of these custom plugins will be taking.

Please let me know if you have any further questions!

Okay. To take your quote "One who lives in glass houses should not throw stones" to the next level let's start by completely roasting you regarding your handling of this post. First is your logical fallacy Ad hominem - "Attacking the person and not the argument". After making your argument and making your position known you continue on to attack the person himself and not the argument which truly makes you seem like someone who is not old enough nor has the funds required to register a company.
-Can you please provide me some form of TIN, EIN, VAT, and/or other uniquely identifiable information which can be used to verify you have indeed registered a company with your local government so you can legally do business?
-After that's said, many can see your reasoning behind wanting a development team, but do you have the funds to pay them? Any big server requires quite a bit of cash to get started in the first place, for example, Mineplex (information sourced from a previous mineplex developer) payed their development team around 20k/month.
-Also, do you have a legal team or a lawyer on call ready to help you make NDA contracts? If you truly wish to have a big server you absolutely must be extremely careful when recruiting staff and hiring positions integral to your company such as developers and managers who will need to sign contracts to keep your information under close wraps. The "I trust in these people" won't cut it if you plan to be a big server.
-Regarding your misinformation regarding TCP/IP specifically "General Internet Protocol" sorry to say, but java developers have no need for knowledge of this Literally Both UDP and TCP (which are the main information transportation protocols) as well as HTTP and HTTPS are integrated in java with pre-made code so it's quite easy to setup. For tcp all you need is really a thread for accepting incoming connections with ServerSocket and then another thread for handling whatever you're doing with TCP. Other than that UDP is basically the same, but a little more complicated to work with than TCP.
-Also regarding your statement not to judge a book by it's title.... How stupid of a statement. In any field you always judge a book by it's title. Sure there are hidden gems here and there, but most of the time, especially in the development field, you judge a book by it's title. Especially if it's a server or network which says they're the "next big thing" (90% people believe this, most of them aren't the next big thing...).
-An image from shutterstock can say multiple things such as it's new (as in your case), not stable, has no funds, may go under soon, etc.
-Anyone who uses "Fun and exciting" as a way to pass off features of a job, the job will most definitely not be fun and exciting. It will be boring like most other jobs. No "fun and exciting" job says they're "fun and exciting"... Sorry to say, but the really chill people don't say that.
-"Fluent in Core Java" WTF is core java. I have a certificate from Oracle which certifies me as a developer(Java SE 8 Programmer level 2) and have never even seen the word "Core Java"... Are you saying you need relatively good knowledge of Java?
-"Knowledge of good coding practices" - Might be a better way to explain those.
-Do you even have a documentation setup of some sort which details any way to keep code within your company clean? Such as no ternary operators, always use brackets in if-statements, when it is appropriate to use static instances vs dependency injection, whether you do double locked singletons or just a simple singleton?
-"Chance to learn new skills and techniques from our advanced codebase as well as from our great development team." - okay, if you advertise your job like that it means you really are grasping for good things to say about yourself....
-"Advanced Codebase" - alrighty. Show us some snippets of your advanced code base will you I would love to see it, as currently you are a no name company (maybe not even registered), which has no reputation currently.
-"RESTful" knowledge. Why the hell would you need to know REST apis in minecraft. Honestly. Use redis, sql messaging, or even setting up a tcp network for communication between servers...
-"Our side" - we don't care about your side. We could care less about what you already have. Developers make shit, they don't join a service because the service has cool shit already made, they join a service to get paid. On the topic of payment - What's your hourly compensation rate?
-Are you able to sign contracts with your developers?
-What system do you use to log hours done?
-Are you registered with your government (i.e are you a real business?) for taxes?
-A "fair payment" doesn't describe your hourly rates. Developers are here on MCM to make a little money while making some plugins in minecraft for fun (mostly).
-Most developers here don't do minecraft plugins for a livelihood, but everyone wants their work to be appreciated and their time and hard work to be compensated, especially when you have someone telling you what to do and what they want. So.. what's your hourly compensation rate? also don't give anyone the B.S. of "it depends on the complexity of the plugin", a more complex plugin will naturally take more time.
-Also have you considered that some developers work faster than others? Do you adjust your hourly compensation rate based off of a person's skill level? (Please note that any developer of the caliber you're looking for asks for a minimum of $15/hr which is already extremely low and gracious. Most developers actually cost in the range of $20-45+/hr. The reason why they have a higher hourly rate is because the more skilled and advanced you are, the quicker you can complete plugins usually so they must up their rates to continue making any resemblance of a normal amount of money for their skill set)

After this huge rant, and hopefully all of my extremely important questions were answered, a word of advice from me is don't get too overconfident. Yes, you may have unique ideas, but you're not the only one who does so absolutely do not say you will definitely be the "next big thing" and expect ALL money put into your venture to be gone with no reasonable expectation of ever getting it back. As to most owners I say, if you're in MC for the money, that era has passed. Hypixel and Mineplex took up that spot and now Hypixel is the sole owner of that spot. If you want money find an actual job. If you want to run a server expect no profit and run it only as a hobby.
Only the first part of this is a roast, the rest of it is genuinely valid questions so don't treat it like a roast.
(yes, it is important to know if you are a legally registered business or not so give me your answers!)
Edited to format it.
Another edit: Players don't take too kindly to new and complex features or gamemodes. If you want to introduce something new it has to be easy to understand. You have to remember that there are very few gamemodes which are complex in minecraft, and that's for good reason too. You're playing a block game, not rainbow six. Keep that in mind.
