A while ago I noticed that BucketOfSloths had recently sold the account "haha" that he stickied to the top of the OG section. When it was sold, it had the sold thread prefix but it was still stickied, taking up room and wasn't removed until a week after it was put up.

I suggest that when a thread is placed under any prefix like "Sold" or "Completed", it"s removed from the sticky thread section as it no longer needs to be there, clearing up room.
Another alternative is to allow staff to trash the thread thats on the sticky section once its marked as sold or the creator of the thread allows it to be removed.

Leave your thoughts down below.

With what’s been said above, I think of course, it should ultimately be your decision, however, your suggestion does bring a good point.

If anything was to happen, maybe after a thread is marked like that you could get a pop-up or notification saying your thread is now x would you like to unstick the thread?

When its sold it no longer needs to be there.
No member should get compensation if they end up selling the item only 3 days after the thread was stickied, for example.
Tristan M. explained some points well
there is nothing wrong with as i stated they paid for that spot so they have all the right to keep it up for the amount of days they paid for.

Good idea, but I didnt suggest staff would mark the thread as sold or not. Theres already an option for users to do that. I suggested that when an item is marked as sold or complete BY THE USER HIMSELF, it would automatically remove itself from the sticky section.

BucketOfSloths Deleted User 60850 pace , if the user doesnt want the thread removed from the sticky section, he can simply not mark the thread as sold.

I didn’t say anything about staff doing anything, all I mean is that after the user puts it to complete or whatever, they should get a prompt to stick/unstick it, and if a staff changes it it will send your a prompt as well.

Hm, I see, so it doesnt have to be automatic. I guess that could be fair. I just dont like it when people have sold threads in the sticky section. Like, why does it need to still be there?!

Once again, just a choice of payment. Some people just like seeing themselves high on the website, also they paid for it so why wouldn’t they.

Well, not that exactly. If the thread and the pin forfilled its use, I don’t think a conpensation would be needed.

I think it should just be your choice to keep it up, if it’s completed or not as you paid for it.

I see no reason to give people the option to cut their thread sticky short if they no longer need the remaining days. By creating an advertisement you agree that you intend on keeping the advertisement for the agreed upon time. If you still have time remaining on your sticky you get to keep it for as long as you purchased.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
