Thread trashing reputation shouldnt be allowed/be reviewed

A lot of People neg reps for "thread trashing" for no reason at all (like Toxicity) for example.
Person A: Selling an account with almost no info
Person B: Adds info like: It's banned on _____
Person A: Neg Reps

Do u think someone deserves a negative (that Means a lot for new users) for giving information about an account?

Another example
Person A: Selling a scam account
Person B: This account was owned by a scammer, deal with caution
Person A: Neg Reps without trying to deal the Situation.

Is giving information about something that they're most likely interested BAD?

I'm talking about this type of trashing thread rep. I agree with neg repping for dudes saying something that isn't in the topic/related Nor spamming

Kram may need to reread the rules. It clearly states using it as a punishment is not allowed. The same rule also states using it as a deterrent, threatening, is against the rules. Trashing a thread and receiving a negative rating for it is a punishment, not sure how you can spin it so that it's not.

9.4 Do not use reputation as a currency, reward, condition, incentive, punishment or deterrent.

That post by Justis explains how we perceive the point of that rule.

Threatening would be using it as a deterrent, why would you have two words for the same thing in the same rule? That doesn't make sense.

On another note, one singular post changes the meaning of a rule? Change the rule so 'interpretation' isn't necessary and help to get rid of the inconsistencies with how the staff deal with reports.

Why do people feel the need to make suggestions when it's already a thing? You make a support request to dispute it, and while it will take time for a staff member to get to it, it will be handled. Staff cannot remove reputation if the reputation is informative unless the person who left it admits why they left it and it breaks one of the MC-Market rules. Otherwise, it will have to be discussed between the staff member, person who received the rep and the person who left the rep.

If the member cannot provide proof, it'll get removed. If the member provides "proof" and you're not breaking any MC-Market rules, it will get removed.
Especially now that we've got our dispute process implemented this is doubly true.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
