No wonder it’s been in development for years. AAA games don’t even have design documents that are 300 pages...

This includes questlines. You also don't know that as you never designed a triple-A game. Furthermore, neither is that a cause of the development for years. The project is simply huge as it's a full-blown MMORPG. But ey, keep the negativity up!
