Alright, so I see a lot of controversy about whether a not a member is 'reputable' or not. A person could shit post and gain 200+ funny ratings, and he could count himself as 'reputable' vs a person with legitimate 'vouches' I.e. 60+ winner ratings.
There really needs to be a separate feature for giving people reputation.

I.e. A Premium member could give someone +/-(plus or minus) 2 reputation at a time with a cooldown of (just an example) 24hr for rating that specific user.

A regular member could give neutral and negative reputation with a cooldown of 48hr for rating that specific user.

The minus reputation feature would be like a negative rating. For users who scam or users who you wouldn't want to deal with.

Took screenshots of HackForums to demonstrate:

And obviously, reputation abuse would result in punishment. Thanks for reading :p

I find it very negative that this forum is becoming more and more like Hack Forums, through multiple implementations and suggestions. The feature here is a ratings feature for posts, not really a reputation feature on people. The HF reputation system is very abused and that's something most of the site admits to iirc. They used to have a rep abuse system but that got junked very quickly and now the regulations on reputation are more or less just calling someone a scammer without a link to a deal dispute thread (if I've heard correctly).

For the marketplace, I'd again recommend safe trading to be emphasised. MCM should not be responsible for users vetting people out before trading.

https://www.digitalpoint.com/
One of the biggest digital marketplaces. Everyone there has the common sense to vet someone out completely before dealing in (some) transactions that are bigger than the worth of MCM itself.

Here's a marketplace listing:

Here's a user profile (of that user):

No reputation or ratings, just likes received. People there do the vetting themselves.

A reputation system would cause so much drama and really make this site start becoming ridiculous, in my opinion. I'd say the forums should get changes but definitely not towards becoming like Hack Forums, but the opposite way around into becoming a sophisticated community of traders here to do Minecraft monetary trades.
