Reputation Thing

I'd like to see an actual reputation page on each user their profile. Hate to see how people compare rep to rating.
Here is how I was thinking about.

Normal members should be able to rep after 250 posts with +1 or -1

Members with a name colour should be able to rep after 250 posts with +2 or -2

Upgraded members should be able to rep after 250 posts with +3 or -3


And an actual vouch system instead of threads would be usefull as well.

Ok I under stand that but how do we know if someone is trusted now yes this was a change that was needed but with out something to replace it people who have lots of rep because of 'funny' are going to scam, this has all ready happened btw
Another thing is that can we even use hack forums system they are a completely different forum layout so how would Mc market use there system?
I think changing vouch to winner was a good thing but It should have waited till a proper replacement was ready

There never was a vouch system, or a reputation system. It was completely misinterpreted.

If u have no reputation system a guy who just joined has the same rep as someone who joined a long time ago and has done 50+ deals

Look at somebody's profile, check their posts and what not. Anybody can scam - for example the user Manta sold a tonne of users incl. myself Steam games and they got removed and he was one of the top MCM users.

A reputation system would be great, but it's not a small thing to get done.

Wait what about vouch threads...

Dislike is a terrible idea, I've seen people rate people of -100 before on forums in less than an hour. Vouch threads are there - but they're flawed.

You should make a disagree rating but don't make it lower the person's ratings, just so we know that they don't agree. We already use funny as that anyways :/

Well, by naming vouch winner its just a fourth passive-aggressive way to rate people that will be used as an insult instead of to genuinely tell people they did a good job. "Boys, we have a real winner over here!"

Optimistic, funny, creative, and now winner are and will be primarily used as insults. Well, better get to trying it out.

Okay, got the hang of using it, back to the post...
Seriously though, the vouch rating was the only one that wasn't broken. So now instead of being 11% effective the rating system is 0% effective. I think rating should just be done away with all together if the the intention is to make ratings something people don't trust. A useless action wastes time and space and is just plain confusing to new users who think "rating" is what the word means instead of junk.

Also, people are still just going to type out the word vouch in a post anyway, so instead of a little button on the ops post it now has to continually clog the thread. Just a terrible and inefficient decision made purely as an emotional response to a single user's post (you said that much yourself), that's how the rating of winner was born.

I never said anything about rating, I said make a rep system. Keep the reputation aside from ratings.

Maybe you could make like a special "Trusted" tag for people that had more than 10 smooth transactions without chargebacks or problems. In my opinion that would be better then having the HF idea in my opinion.

They can't be chargebacking if they payed with F&F. And if they do you could just report their comment or so and show proof it.
So i don't see what could go wrong with this. To get this tag you could have to show proof of recent transactions aswell.
It would not be something to acquire that fast.

Yes you can chargeback almost every payment trust me. People can go 'legit' with the 10 transactions than scam big because people think they are 'Trusted'

It atleast is a better indicator then having nothing. People can still scam with Premium etc. This is just a thing so people that they can deal with the trusted members. And ofcourse they have to be trusted by Ajdin or Administrator etc to get trusted aswell.

We could also merge the idea's and make one reputation/trusted member tag.
Here is what i thought we could do:
