I have made this suggestion already a long time ago and sent it by PM to our owner but back then he didn't seem to be much interested in this and told to make a public suggestion...
So now finally i'll make this suggestion public because something needs to be done!
As we (basic site users) can see resource approval has been completely stuck. I understand it's summer and everyone could be busy but why not to hire one more person for this job? Currently if you check resource page there seem to be no newly confirmed resources for past few days and before that only 2-3 per day. I'm sure people are posting resources way more than that...which means queue will become larger. I myself tomorrow will post one more resource... but i'm afraid it will be approved only after a month or so because 2 of my resources are already waiting almost 2 weeks to be approved. ..but to check and approve a schematic file you need max 30 sec to load it on mcedit and check. (i'm not referring to plugin stuff)
So my suggestion is to make it easier for trustworthy/experienced users to post resources or hire one more person specifically for this job!
In one way or another but resource approval needs to be speed up!
Seeing as Ivain got promoted i have small hope that maybe he could let you hand on this.
...in few weeks time mcm has came from 3-4 days approval time to spigot level... :/
