its ya boy w/ another flaming suggestion.

So, when you post a resource, it goes to the top. Then, resources slowly cover yours, leaving yours at the bottom. The only way to bump it is by posting a new Resource Update.

But, the problem is- Some resources are things like configs, where updates won't be made every day. This means your resource gets a minimal viewing on the resource page.

I think it'd be an awesome addon to implement Resource Bumping (24H?). Essentially like Up thread, but for the Resources Page.

Points--
@Everyone
"Oh, this ruins featured resources."

Not really. You can say the same thing about sticky threads and upping threads. So, I don't think it really ruins the point of Featured Resources, as your resource will still be at the very very top for everyone to see.

@Everyone
"Post an update. Simple"

Not all resources need to be updated. Example: A thread design. Might be updated once. After that, it's lost in the pages of resources. The point of resources is to sell, not get a few sales and then quit after that.

Ivain
"If you have several resources, simply post a selling thread and bump that".

Yes, that can work, but typically for users looking for resources, they head to the resources page to find what they need. It'd make it much more efficient, rather than finding all of your individual threads and upping them.

thx

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

This suggestion has already been accepted and is pending.
http://www.mc-market.org/threads/91197/

Now, here is what I believe:
A year ago, I would have agreed with this, but that's because back then, a single resource would stay on the main page for days.
And this would promote the viewing of more resources, not the same ones as yesterday.
But now, this is not the case anymore. If I update my resources today, most likely by tomorrow, if not in a few hours, my resource will be on the second page. That's faster than most forums on here. Now, if we add a bumping feature, this would make things go way too fast. At a point where there would be no point in updating, and updating is something we want to promote as much as possible.
Although your point is valid, I still think implementing this change will be beneficial.

This is already pending, so I'll move this bad boy to denied. Thanks for the suggestion Landon.
