Hello,
If you live in the UK. You may have heard that people are getting their results today. Which is true most people have done. I just want to say that if you have't done as good as you thought you did, don't worry.

Exams don't mean anything apart from how good your memory is. That don't show how good you work or how good you are at a job. I believe that if you want something like a job you will get it if you try to. Even if you didn't get the results you wanted or even failed. So what? It's not the end of the world. Which people need to understand that there is no need for exams. Yes, it may make life easier however, it isn't the end of your journey. Your journey is just getting started.

This time of the year is one of the highest rates for suicide due to them thinking they are a failure. You aren't. You have a life, if you want something so badly and try you will get there. You don't need high results to get you far in life. If you know someone that may take there life because of results please assure them that life isn't all about exams and that they aren't a failure.

This is just proof that you don't need education: https://www.independent.co.uk/life-...sful-gcses-alevels-exam-results-a7914066.html

Thanks for reading,

Yeah, I feel the same,

I get mine in 7 days and I just think I can't change what is on that piece of paper so why worry.

It's a continuous loop. Think back to when you "graduated" from primary to secondary school. Does anyone care about that now? No. Once you're done with GCSEs and your going for whatever is next, IB, A levels or just plain highschool nobody worries about what you got on your GCSE. Once your down with school and get a job or go into Uni nobody sweats on your high school grades anymore. It's almost entirely irrelevant especially if you go into the working sector straight away. Degrees areso oversaturated employers look more for experience these days.
Just chill and take it easy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I disagree with most people - the exams are fine. They don't test memory, they test your effort. If you put effort in, you will do well. They essentially test how willing you are to pass all your exams. Do not stress over them, if you put the time in you will do fine, if you don't do fine despite putting in effort, perhaps you're not academic and would do well in a College course instead.

Tongy124 college will not give you freedom. Sorry to burst the bubble but it's the same as sixth form, except the courses are more practical rather than academic. That's it. You get plenty of freedom in Sixth Form, an equal amount to College. You should pick which you go to based on what you want to do in the future, university or not.

Tongy124 agreed, yes. But overall, you must think about your future - if you want to go to university, you must go to Sixth Form. It's 2 years, so what if it's controlling, you're 16-18, only just an adult, what freedoms would you get from College that are worth not doing a subject you want to do?

Have you looked into Student Loans? You and your parents won't end up paying for a thing - until the Government deems you earn enough money from a job to pay it back.

Incorrect here. If you want to go to university you can still go to college. I guess the only difference between six Form and College is that Six Form can set you back a year if you don't pass the exam first year. Unlike, College which you wont be set back a year.

To an extent, GCSE's do mean something. I dropped out in year 10 for very valid reasons and have tried for multiple jobs since, the thing in my way? No grades.
