No games? I bought the 120GB Samsung thinking I'd just run my OS and favorite games on it... I filled it up way too fast! It makes such a difference on most games to get the loading times down!
Im okay with the loading times, Ill be throwing everything on the WD drive.

I got
52d9c14363.png
which runs all games insanely smooth. Saved me 100$ I think, I was short so couldn't get an I7, but I am very happy with my purchase.

This is a pretty sweet build if you ask me. Enjoy streaming 4k Netflix on that 7700k.

I've had an i7 since 2014. If your not up to an i7 by now then what are you doing?![DOUBLEPOST=1484075568][/DOUBLEPOST]
Lol but the monitor ur getting isn't 4K
I know, I am most likely going to be buying a 4k monitor after all this is over

saving money because you don't NEED an i7 for most daily use? Only reasons I'm saving up for a $1500 build with an i7 are my liking for having 20 programs open at once and the fact that I'll need to do a lot of rendering as Game Designer, so I'd like to be able to either multi-thread the hell out of a render or just do something productive alongside it.[DOUBLEPOST=1484098664][/DOUBLEPOST]

AMD are decent enough, especially for gaming, but for overall use intel seems to be more popular, probably because you can fall back on the integrated graphics for normal stuff if something goes wrong with your graphics card.

This reminds me, the i7 7700k I chose has a pretty good integrated graphics piece.

yeah if you think about it integrated graphics are pretty powerful for what they do.
I have an i3 with 4400HD graphics, yet I can run Borderlands 2 and even Paragon still, albeit at low settings.
I imagine that with the HD graphics of a modern i7 you can run those at mid-settings at least.

I'm actually quite experienced with building PC's and if you're asking for my advise, i'd say run crossfire on two 1080's and also run 2 terabyte hdd instead of an ssd, because ssd's are worthless except if you store the OS there
I will be putting my OS on it. and I doubt I will be doing a SLI set up.
