don't use dollar store batteries, get them from a good company like duracell

What Yidas said, but just about every news article seems to say it's the batteries, and mine hasn't had any problems yet with good batteries

Yeah, im pretty sure the batteries caused the fires, however I urge you to try riding one before you judge because they are fun af. Totally worth the 3rd degree burns.
