Greetings,

I have been using MC-Market for quite a short time compared to a lot of the members that currently use this fantastic website, however, during my time on MC-Market I have encountered some undesirable individuals which should have their access from this website revoked. There are currently no rules or regulations regarding extreme levels of toxicity while using a form of communication on MC-Market and I firmly believe that this should be changed.

Examples:

K0Xr1NLER3eU_PFWk6enHA.png

_u5ZqB0FQO_g8Lq0ionhVQ.png

All examples provided by StayMadTensta

This sort of content should not be allowed on any platform, never mind a platform that is residence to many younger members of the Minecraft community. Not one person should be exposed to this, especially not fledgling children. By allowing this to continue, we are admitting that this type of behaviour is acceptable and are only contributing to the use of it.

Thank you for reading my suggestion, if you disagree with it please explain the reasoning behind the disagreement.

I can agree with this. However, I am not going to due to the fact that I use the N word myself. Not on this site, I would never. But, when I am with my black friends. We joke around, and we throw that word around etc. Obviously, I ask if it is alright if I say that before I just blurt it out. But, I really can not agree or disagree with you on this as I use the word myself. Not quite like StayMadTensta uses it, but you know what I mean. NoneTheLess, I feel this should be something that is considered.

My agreeing or disagreeing would depend on where you would draw the line. At what point would you consider something to be 'extreme toxicity'? The examples you gave me could almost classify as 'pretty toxic', at least if they're in context with the last one, which is a violation of the rule against 'disrespecting users'.

So I think most of these are sorta tame, except for the last one, I agree with you on that one. If it was up to me I'd put that strongly under "disrespecting users" (5 warning points). Putting the others into that context would make them toxic too, but again except for the last one it's similarly toxic as 'kiddo' at the end of each sentence, except it's racist as well (depending on PoV)

Also, there no rules or regulations regarding 'extreme toxicity' is nonsense, the rule against harassment is plenty strong enough, especially in combination with "disrespecting users". Hell, there's even a rule against swearing. That combination should take care of most things. I'm curious, did you report these examples and have the reports denied? is that the motivation behind this suggestion? In that case, I would say you should try asking for staff to redefine their definitions of toxicity to fit your standard, instead of having the rules doubled up.

We dont support this this kind of behaviour. We have rules in place that we're broken in those posts, so reporting them would get them removed and the user in them warned. I don't really see what this suggestion is trying to ask either.

This level of "extreme toxicity" is rare, and as Ivain said it's completely coverrd by rules.

That is in different context, that would not make you a extremely toxic user as you have permission from your black friends and the manner that you are using it in. Thanks for commenting![DOUBLEPOST=1507271735][/DOUBLEPOST]
Welcome to minecraft!
That's exactly the problem, if we just accept this behaviour and say that it is all part of the Minecraft experience then we are only contributing to the problem. Thanks for commenting![DOUBLEPOST=1507271828][/DOUBLEPOST]
Should be a bit more appropriate for others. Even though most people know swears by 13 or older, still try to keep it nice and appropriate ;)
In my opinion, those at the tender age of 13 should not be exposed to inappropriate content at all, however, that is beyond my control. But, I would rather make MC-Market a more safe place than it currently is, for all users. Thanks for commenting![DOUBLEPOST=1507272416][/DOUBLEPOST]

Firstly, those examples given above are what I classify as extremely toxic. In my opinion you do not have to use inappropriate language etc to become a toxic user, if a user is intentionally and deliberately prohibiting a member of a particular community from having an enjoyable, pleasant and desirable experience then they could be classified as toxic in my opinion. I know the last one is in violation of the rules and I put it there to inform the appropriate people so that he may be dealt with as the last time I filed a report, nothing happened.

Secondly, due to the fact that it is racist. There is no disputing that, that is why it is extremely toxic and more so than putting "kiddo" At the end of each sentence. The rule against harassment does not cover all aspects of toxicity, if a player is harassing a user in a particular way then they could be classified as toxic but, toxicity is not all about harassment and would not be strong enough in my opinion to enforce. If harassment and disrespect are combined into the same to further enforce the rules, I agree that that would be decently strong. However, as stated before it would not cover all aspects. I want to cover all things, not "most" things. I have not reported this user as I have done it in the past (as previously mentioned) and nothing has happened about it, regarding this type of behaviour. I am not asking for a complete change of the rules, however, if the staff could as you've stated redefine the rules to make them more strict and enforceable in these situations then, I am all for it. Thanks for commenting![DOUBLEPOST=1507272623][/DOUBLEPOST]

I understand that this behaviour may be considered rare, however, that does not mean it doesn't exist. It is not covered by the rules as far as I am aware, if you could direct me to the rules that it would be punished under I'd greatly appreciate it. Also, I'm asking for a change in the rules or for them to be redefined into one that is more enforceable in certain situations. Thanks for commenting!

There's no point to this suggestion. It's my understanding that you think younger ones (13 year olds) such as myself shouldn't be exposed to toxicity, when the reality is, toxicity is already in school systems, and literally everyone is used to it. There's no point in stopping people from saying certain things or inappropriate things, and insulting and bullying someone is already against the rules. I've been hearing constant cursing from kids since I was in fourth grade, and I'm not even in a bad district or neighborhood. There's no point in censoring and punishing for things that all of us do anyways.
That's the type of attitude that allowed you and certain communities to be exposed to toxicity, if we deny the opportunity for such an attitude the behaviour will cease to exist.

Denying attitude on a minecraft website will not cease toxicity. High school teachers cuss more in high school than considered acceptable in middle schools, and they're fantastic teachers. Mcm isn't someone's life goal and if someone's saying bad shit in real life, they're not gonna suddenly think about MCM rules. MCM shouldn't be a devotion to the point where you listen to rules on here. This isn't going to change anything at all, toxicity will never cease. You see people on minecraft servers saying "kys" even though most times it's punishable by ban. Bullying is illegal in most states and people still do it. The point is the effort to put into this isn't worth it as it's not going to change anything because no one gives a shit. No one says things like YouAreHated does on the regular either, and I've been here for almost a year
It is very unfortunate that you hold those beliefs, however, I would rather spend my time in a clean community, not one riddled with toxicity. Fair enough, you might not see many people like Hated or have seen in the past, however, that is not a reason to say that it is not worth the hassle. There will be people who come, look at the rules and see that it is acceptable to behave in such a manner which in my opinion is disgraceful. If you do not care about the rules or the MC-Market community, that is fine but, I do.

Well, I am hoping that a staff member will look and approve my reports made on this user.

Really sorry to break it to you, but.. This is the internet. People don't care what they say online.
Also not everything is going to float your boat.

You can't just show examples of 1 person saying "nigger". While everyone else on this website says "nigga", "fuck", "faggot", "cunt", etc.

I understand that you don't like racial slurs, but they won't stop being said as long as people, like yourself, give them the attention you're currently giving them.
If people just ignore them, like they're ordinary words and stop going all SJW when you hear one, it'll lose it's meaning eventually. But since you keep these words at such a high standard, they'll keep on gaining more and more power.

Pretty sure Mc-M doesn't allowed racial slurs, but adding more rules for things like this, will just urge people like StayMadTensta to keep on saying them.

I myself say nigger, and I don't find it such a huge deal as when I first said it. I use it so much it doesn't mean anything anymore, and pretty sure StayMadTensta says it so much it barely has any meaning for him anymore either, which is why he doesn't have an issue saying it.

You can't simply make a rule against racial slurs and expect them go away since they won't. The only thing to do is just report them.

Again, it is unfortunate that you hold those beliefs. However, I strongly disagree. I am not a social justice warrior, I am simply a user who desires a clean MC-Market. I only showed this example of YouAreHated because he was the only person I screenshoted, I will be sure to add any others I find to this suggestion. It is extremely ignorant and terribly sad that you find yourself using that word and not caring about it, saying it has no meaning. I don't care if the people saying the word have an issue with it or not, others in the community and generally, in the world do too.
