Greetings,

I have been using MC-Market for quite a short time compared to a lot of the members that currently use this fantastic website, however, during my time on MC-Market I have encountered some undesirable individuals which should have their access from this website revoked. There are currently no rules or regulations regarding extreme levels of toxicity while using a form of communication on MC-Market and I firmly believe that this should be changed.

This sort of content should not be allowed on any platform, never mind a platform that is residence to many younger members of the Minecraft community. Not one person should be exposed to this, especially not fledgling children. By allowing this to continue, we are admitting that this type of behaviour is acceptable and are only contributing to the use of it.

Thank you for reading my suggestion, if you disagree with it please explain the reasoning behind the disagreement.

Well said. This situation reminds me a bit of the iDubbbz Leafy situation, where Leafy was getting utterly destroyed by pure facts and was completely ignoring it.
You're right that I was ignoring his post, for the simple reason that I am not going to repeat what I have previously stated over and over again just because someone else states it or something similar.

This really reminds me about iDubbbz's explanation about the N-Word and cuss words in general most of which I agree upon. The more power you give a word well the more power it has. One word has more power than the others because its held at a high position and it has history. A lot of these other words have history as well and the more they're used the less power they have and can be treated just like the word "hi" or something. ( Basically quoted/ a summary of what iDubbbz said ). Now if it's used in a sense to insult someone like "Get off my thread you f***ing filthy n****r. " sure that can be given warning points. By the age of 13 you've probably heard/seen it enough that it doesn't matter if you see it as a word on a screen.

That is the type of attitude which has allowed such words to be common amongst our youth, I hate to be as cringy as I am but, we must be vigilant.

I don't agree that 13 year olds should be saying this but it's all a choice but compare the 1940/50's to now. The word has lost much of its meaning ( not saying it still can't be used in an offensive way ) due to this. I don't cuss but now I don't mind it at all compared to a few years ago~

Its the internet lmao get used to it?
I'm not going to argue my point to you if you clearly haven't read my other posts. Either comment something useful or don't trash my thread.[DOUBLEPOST=1507480850][/DOUBLEPOST]

The word has only lost meaning to some people on the internet, the word has not lost meaning to everyone or even slightly lost meaning in real life. Other variations of the word may have developed to mean something else, but, I am not talking about them.

Isn't the internet technically real life? Sure its over a screen and a lot of the time you have anonymity but you're still having conversations with real people, talking to real people, and exchanging money with real people. I'm not meaning to justify the word but I have seen it lose value irl. Sure not as much as the internet but it has.

No. The internet is not real life, yes you are: having conversations with real people (most of the time); talking to real people; and exchanging money with real people. However, there is a difference with the way that people conduct their selves online and in real life plus, not everyone uses the internet in real life and those who usually behave in this way are focused to one group: gamers. Additionally, there are consequences in the real world that deter the use of such language often, for instance: it is arrest able to call someone a racial slur in both the US and UK as it is illegal. The internet is a grey area when it comes to a lot of laws, however, if severe enough and if the case is granted attention, you can be prosecuted for your actions online in regards to racial slurs.

We dont support this this kind of behaviour. We have rules in place that we're broken in those posts, so reporting them would get them removed and the user in them warned. I don't really see what this suggestion is trying to ask either.

This level of "extreme toxicity" is rare, and as Ivain said it's completely coverrd by rules.
Mick, I’ve made well over 20 reports in the past week, and none of them have been denied or accepted. All of them were made a few days ago. Tell your staff team to deal with them. Because I know for a fact I reported the examples shone in this thread, and they haven’t even been deleted yet. Great staff team you’ve got going here.

I agree with you there, I have made several reports on various users and they have not been dealt with in the appropriate manner. I understand that Mick does not have a large staff team and cannot deal with every report that is submitted immediately due to their large number of users on MC-Market. However, it would be greatly appreciated if we could see a change in the response time between the submission of a report and the time it gets resolved.

There are enough moderators where one could literally sit down for just one hour, and get done with the majority of the reports. Really, it’s not that hard. MCM staff are just so god damn lazy.
