To open a scam report, a small fee will be paid to MCM.

This will incentivize users to apply and be assigned to Scam resolvers with a mature, professional, and level headed attitude.

The scam resolvers we have right now, are getting by through volunteer hours of their day and school comes first. Give people who have no lives and spend their hours here wanting to make a change on the community a financial incentive to be a Scam Resolver as a job. Its not volunteer, its paid and you get paid per scam report you take. (though they are paid for being staff, it is NOT ENOUGH to get through the numerous reports in a timely manner.)

This will incentivize quickening the resolution process and getting comments approved faster.

$5 is the suggested fee.

This is a really bad idea, and here are some reasons why:

1. It would cause an influx of 'DNDW user123 is a scammer!' type of threads in other sections.
2. Someone already lost money (or something with monetary value), it would suck if they had to pay more for the scammer to get banned.
3. It might cause people to let go of the 'small time' (<$20) scams because they'd think it's a waste of money just to get someone banned, and more scammers will be free to roam the site scamming little amounts of cash from multiple users.

Valid.

Ties in with what I'll say in 3.

3. It might cause people to let go of the 'small time' (<$20) scams because they'd think it's a waste of money just to get someone banned, and more scammers will be free to roam the site scamming little amounts of cash from multiple users.
Small time scammers from a large community's eyes, are not a huge issue. Its the scammers who build up some reputation and pull off the large scams and brag about doing so. If you scam small time, you're bound to get banned for <$20 and hurray for you, you got an hour to a few hours worth of minimum wage.

You lost $10 to a scammer. I lost $300 to a scammer. Yet both of our scam reports take a while and sometimes even longer for the SRs on here to get through with balancing their IRL obligations. Selfishly and from an objective standpoint for the greater benefit to MCM's community, my report should take priority to knock out the large time scammers.

I mean I get that some idiots open scam reports to get someone false banned but why should someone that just got scammed of $ need to pay another fee just to make a scam report with proof. Doesn't make any sense to me.

without going through the scam report process so they would essentially not have any way to let others know all because of a fee to submit a scam report.
False. People post threads exposing others all the time. Its a matter of whether the staff will enforce warning points to those offending users.

it's unnecessary in my personal opinion.
This fee may not be the best or absolutely necessary way to address the issue that there aren't enough mature scam resolvers to take on the job here. The current SRs are overwhelmed with numerous reports still open. I generalize this for all scam resolvers from my experience with Lotus in our PMs here that he indeed did apologize for slacking on keeping my reports up to date.

However, I believe its necessary we need to come up with a way to address the cumbersome scam report system.[DOUBLEPOST=1551403878][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yes they are, they can possibly scam a larger amount later on due to having no consequences. It's also an issue even if it's a small amount simply due to the fact that a $10 scam to one person might mean no breakfast for tomorrow for the victim.

I agree 100% that it is a pretty big issue a lot of times, I've been scammed on mcm before and its not a fun feeling ever. They need to figure out something and the only way we can get them to realize that the system is completely bs is to keep making threads, reports, and suggestions to it.

Its not volunteer. Correct McM staff currently get paid. So its not volunteer, this is a job.

They'd have to be a likeable small time scammer to deal with the numerous threads that would be opened up against them and negative reputations left on their profile to pull off a larger scam at a later date.

Wait so basically you are scammed for your money, then you want to waste more of your money to possibly not get your amount scammed back?
You are paying toward banning the user from the forum in most cases. Otherwise you're paying to get priority on getting your money back from the "scammer" who is willing to work things out in giving your money back.[DOUBLEPOST=1551404120][/DOUBLEPOST]
Its not volunteer. Correct McM staff currently get paid. So its not volunteer, this is a job.
Let me clarify then. They are paid, and I'm not sure how, but they clearly aren't paid enough or have MCM scam reports as their priority high enough for the system to be smooth and be resolved in a timely manner. There's too little Scam Resolvers who have enough time to properly sort out these reports quickly.[DOUBLEPOST=1551404170][/DOUBLEPOST]

Making threads, suggestions, whatever. That's all we can do. Its what many people have been doing. :p But hey, at least my thread got alot of instant reactions and is controversial enough to raise an issue with the system, I'm doing my part xD

Pay to open a scam report? This is a joke, right? So if I get scammed $50 i should pay MCM $25 to open a scam report to get the guy account banned and not even IP banned from an MC site? How will that even benefit the victim? It only gives the scammer, even more, to laugh at you for and gives MCM staff money to do their job pretty much. Even after already losing $50 i should pay more money? Man, some people on this site give me brain damage.

If i get scammed $10 dont worry i'll pay $25 just to open a scam report and get him banned from here and its not like he'll make a new account and scam again....Such idiots on this site its unreal.

I think you can make it as a extra charge service? Still it is not a good idea but it will at least make it possible for case solvers to spend more time.

The scam report section should always be free. As there are some people who reports scammers just to make sure other people know and stop getting scammed by them. I mean they don't worry about getting their money refunded or anything.

So if someone wants their case to be resolved quicker. They can pay an extra fee. This can include some terms like these:
1.The scammers should reply 100% within 24 hours or faster.
2.The scammers should solve the case by refunding or replacing or completing the task within 24-48 hours.

Those cases should be given a higher priority. This is just my opinion and how I see scam report section. :)

Step 1) Wait till someone goes on vacation
Step 2) Open a fake scam report on them and pay the extra fee
Step 3) Fake ban since they'd be on vacation and wouldn't be able to reply within 24 hours
