Okay, basic idea of this is to have a webpage, e.g. mc-market.org/scammers that users can access to enter any of the following details.

Skype names,
MCM names (including ones banned for ban evading),
Email,
PayPal email,
BitCoin address,
Other known names, steam, youtube etc.

And if the entered field matches anything in the database it would bring up a link to the appropriate scam report and any other information.

This would help prevent scammers from scamming after they have been banned by creating a new MCM account. Since they would also need to make a new skype, and PayPal account, as well as a new steam, bitcoin etc, if they plan on using those in the deal. Which most scammers forget to do. Sometimes people don't even make a new MCM account and watch the forum and add people on skype.

Obviously adding every one who has ever scammed to this would be a huge task, so it would have to start when it released. It would work by either M6Gaming or Doge after banning a user adding as much info as possible to the database. It would likely only take them 2 mins each time, and would be as simple as entering some information into a few boxes and pressing add. This ultimately would reduce the amount of scam reports. Which looking at the scam reports section is something that's needed.

This would take some time and money to develop, and if this is a problem I volunteer to code it myself. Mick all you would have to do is agree to the idea, and host it on the MCM web server. Possibly add it to the navigation bar too.

I understand how people see this is a good idea, but at the end of the day it does cross the line in terms of breaching privacy and it's just another means for people to get even more lazy on this site. What do I mean by "lazy?" Well, it seems that people simply don't want to take the time to understand who they are going into business transactions with and instead want Mc-Market to tell them. If you're so paranoid that the person might scam you, guess what. Don't do business with them! It's really that simple.

You raise a good point there. The risk of this, even if the privacy problems were to be removed, is people thinking "This guy is not on the list, so he's safe". That's of course not how it works. Those on the list/database are CONFIRMED scammers who are almost guaranteed to scam you.

Possibly if the database doesnt return any results, it could tell the user that the details entered dont belong to a known scammer, but they should still be careful. Then list a few safety tips and easy ways to spot a scammer.

thats breeching their privacy if we put their paypal email.

this is just ruining everything for them.

basically this just violates the 10th amendment and mcm could very likely be sued
I wish Americans would stop thinking their amendments apply online. They don't.

Basic international privacy laws do, however. Though most actual governments dont give a shit about them (NSA, british secret service, etc etc)
The thing is, I believe one's IP may or may not be classed as public information, since it's something that you send to the internet servers and is therefore theoretically available to anyone. The Paypal email would be the real problem, since that's a direct link to your real identity.

I exposed a guy's PayPal email in my scam report. I disagree with your view on it.

The most you'll usually get is their name. A name means nothing unless you're a unique person like "Number 16 Bus Shelter".

This site's ease of use is mostly because it protects everyone's privacy, even the scammers. If you add this system, it would make every site that doesn't have this system more popular. Aka, killing mc-market.
All the people who come here to scam would go elsewhere. Honest people arent really going to be bothered because it doesn't affect them. If competitor sites are going to get th scammers that would have joined here, they are welcome to them.

Leak forums has gone one step further and exposes everything including IP's. Yet they are still the most popular forum of its kind. If anything its made their forum more popular due to the fact there are less scams.

Honestly changing your IP address isn't exactly a hard thing to do. If a scammer is determined, they will go the extra mile to make a quick buck. Also, scamming aside, do you know how many people don't get along on here? I see arguements going down all the time. All it takes is one little butt hurt user and his booter to start problems. By displaying IP addresses we might as well just be giving him the option to do this. When this happens, and it'll probably happen, guess who's to blame?

If you had actually read the thread, I didn't say anything about including peoples IP's in the database:

Skype names,
MCM names (including ones banned for ban evading),
Email,
PayPal email,
BitCoin address,
Other known names, steam, youtube etc.

You have taken what I said completely out of context. I was replying to someone else saying that the database wouldn't negatively impact the popularity of the site, by saying leak forums use a more harsh version that evolves exposing peoples IP, and are doing just fine. I have even said previously I disagree with doing that:

I don't agree with their IP been made available, that's why I didn't include it in the thread, because there are likely other people in their house too, that had nothing to do with the scam and would have their internet knocked offline by people DDoSing them, as a kind of revenge.

More Realistic Suggestion

Store all scammers on a database, but not have all their information publicly accessible. You do a database query for a Skype name, MC-Market name, etc and it will either return "Clean User" or something similar or "Scammer, be cautious" with links to scam reports, proof, or related.
I don't particularly understand this. If someone is a scammer then that means that they are banned from the site, and you obviously shouldn't deal with them. Giving out their personal email and bitcoin address and stuff like that is pretty irrelevant.

Also having it say 'Scammer, be cautious' is still pretty silly, if someone is a scammer you should never do a deal with them for your own safety.

How do you know they are banned on the site though. They likely aren't going to tell you, "O btw, before you send me the money, I was banned on MCM for scamming, just to let you know" its just not going to happen. They make alts, which go a while undetected, and will just lie. Allowing information like their skype etc, to be looked up, it would make it easier to find out if they were banned on MCM.

Also having it say 'Scammer, be cautious' is still pretty silly, if someone is a scammer you should never do a deal with them for your own safety.
I think 'Scammer, be cautious' was just an example. Just saying "Scammer" would be a bit short. Maybe "The user details you entered match those of a member who has previously scammed" or something like that. Also the extra "be cautious" is alright, plenty of places say things along those lines. Even Minecraft tells people that deleting a world means its gone forever (a very long time). Its just there to fill up a bit of space.
