Scams outside of MCM​

I think that MCM should not deny scam reports that happen outside of MCM. -Recently I, myself, was scammed from someone out of MCM, yet their still on MC-Market. (My scam report was closed because of this).

MC-Market currently doesn't accept scam reports from deals that happened on skype or other sites.

What do you all think about this suggestion?

I'm honestly surprised this has any disagrees.. if they're a scammer, no matter where they scammed, why would you want them here?

If they scammed, why would you want the potential risk for them to scam again on mc-market?

so as both Zap and Sloth have already adressed, the biggest issue with this would be proving they are the same person, and eliminating the option to frame someone in the process.

I agree that people who continue to scam outside of MC-M will most likely scam on MC-M. I can just see this creating so many more scam reports for something from a few years ago.

What happens on Mc-market should stay on Mc-market.
Say I have two different bank accounts with two different companies, (Bank A, Bank B). If my money gets stolen from Bank A, I would resolve it with Bank A.
Why would I try to resolve the problem with Bank B?

I agree with Myiume's idea of warning, but all deals are your own risk.

No one said we're the internet police, but I see no harm in MC-Market admins trying to protect their users. Banning general scammers will do this.

Alright so someone robs the first bank, then they are the "scammer" in this situation. I can agree that you wouldn't go to the second bank and try to resolve the robbery, however that is not at all what Gruss is saying. Law enforcement would go after this robber, no matter where he is (so in this situation every website that he joins), and put him in jail. It was an awful comparison in this situation as it relates in no way

if someone robbed someone elses house i would not let them in my house because i wouldn't want them robbing me.

if someone scammed on another forum i would not let them on this forum because i wouldnt want them scamming here.

Because this person would also be a member of Bank B. Thus, having a known scammer in their most would lead to their account being held/membership terminated.

I was saying that no 2 banks have an affiliation with each other. That was the point I was trying to get across.
