I must admit, he has had some strange nominations like Rick Perry as well, secretary for a department he wanted to scrap. I believe these come from the GOP, not from Trump himself. Even people like Trump have to please other people, the GOP is one of these parties of people that you must keep happy.

Yeah, it's not perfect by any means. The peaceful transfer of power is probably one of the biggest things that the opposition should look at before protesting, Obama has been peaceful about transferring the position of the president to trump so there's some level of trust which must exist there.
