SELL OR OPEN?
The servers are unique (in some aspects) and function well. I have not yet made them into a bungee server, and dont have a host/website yet. (What would be the total cost inc. a host, domain and advertising?)
Thanks!
You can get a cheap vps from 5-30 bucks. Websites aren’t necessary because discord channels can do about everything you’d need a website to do. But advertising is the tricky part. I’d invest in smaller youtubers and possibly a decent trailer.Get a simple vps and see how they do. If they do well use that as a credible source that the product you are soliciting can succeed for others. Just my idea

It really depends on what you want to do with the server. If you would keep it running, you would still need to make frequent updates and changes or else the player base will get bored and shift over to different servers and you would probably end up selling it anyways. It may take a while but if you do run it well then the donations you receive will eventually exceed any amount you would be able to get off it from selling. Selling the server is more for if you just don't want to run it anymore or you just don't have the time to. You have your reasons.
Costs really depends on what hosting you use, ect. There really is no set price, there's a lot of hosting companies out there, all with their own unique features and pros/cons. You could also just host it on a VPS, but you would have to set it up yourself. Same goes for website and advertising, as the saying goes, there's more than one way to skin a cat.
Buycraft or craftingstore?Yeah, okay I seeBut what about donations? where would I recieve these? also on the discord server?

Yes I see what you mean.. I am quite busy with school and do not really have any experience with running and maintaining a server (as a owner), one option would possibly be to "hire" another owner so I wouldnt have to do all the work myself.
Buycraft or craftingstore?
can you add an option to the poll called partner with cmd
You can use both free and they are both hosted on there servers. You can choose to pay them for more features though but is unnecessary.Yes, I am aware of buycraft but wouldnt I need a website for it to be on, or do they have their own that I can "rent"?

What do you mean, haha. Is it your wish to help me with this?
There are the two that kahlilnc pointed out that you can use for the server. For the website, if you were to use a forum software such as Xenforo you could have Account Upgrades just like MCMarket has. For discord, you could have a system where people can donate for roles, but I don't specifically know of any pre-made buycraft-type things that work for discord. You would probably have to do something like assign roles manually after they donate or pay a dev to make something like that for you.Yeah, okay I seeBut what about donations? where would I recieve these? Would be good to maybe hire some developers as well to make plugins and stuff, unless you know how to make them yourself.Yes I see what you mean.. You don't need a website for buycraft, however it does look more professional if you have one. Normally when you create a buycraft store, it will be something like mystore.buycraft.net. If you do have a website, then you could make something like shop.example.com and make the DNS/nameservers point to the buycraft site.Yes, I am aware of buycraft but wouldnt I need a website for it to be on, or do they have their own that I can "rent"?![]()

Although you could use methods like this it would be more ideal to have server ranks linked across the server, forums, and discord. If it gets too obvious that you're trying to milk donations people will expose you for it

They do have a free account, but I do believe you will need to pay for a subscription in order to put the store on a custom domain.
