High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

It's just a low move..[DOUBLEPOST=1438880026,1438879985][/DOUBLEPOST]It may be his fault for not purchasing the domain, but it's a low move. Then resells on here...

The fact he bought that domain when he KNOWS they're making this server doesn't make it right.
I never said it was 'right'. He knew exactly what he was doing when he bought it, and power to him, he can do whatever he wants. The only reason other people didn't even bother to check is because everybody probably assumed that a Mod, on a MC forum, would have already registered all the domains that they could.

If he didn't do it, somebody else very likely would have.[DOUBLEPOST=1438880914,1438880819][/DOUBLEPOST]
I support both Mick and Solistica in this arguement and I think the right thing to do is to sell it to Mick for $20 that way mick is getting a good deal while the sellers makes money.
I do think he should sell it to mick, and if I were to buy it (I bid a measly $5), I would have then transferred it to Mick, mainly because I want to see his server when it's ready.

Just don't take it all out on OP, ya it's kinda a dick move, but I'm sure we've all either done it to somebody else at one point, or thought about it. It's an excellent strategy, and many real world companies do that exact thing to each other all the time.

I don't think there's anything wrong with kolbykskk purchasing and selling the domain. That's basically how buying and selling works. You buy something that may be valuable and sell it when it get's value. When it comes to domains it's first come, first serve. I don't think there is anything wrong with buying a 5 char .net domain before someone else.

My bid is $25

Here's my opinion on all of this discussion: I'd say this is well done business for the seller, but sadly you Mick can't say that because you have an unreleased Minecraft server with a name similar, the domain belongs to you.

Welcome to the real world, this is completely your own fault, no need to blame the seller.

Its funny how the GoDaddy protect your domain option can actually stop something like this from happening.. When GoDaddy asks would you like to purchase these other domains to protect your domain? fucking purchase it.
I totally agree, and I feel disgusted how Mick finds this guy dicky due to buying a domain who appears to be one of Mick's.

This just turned into quite the blame game.
Anywho, I'm not going to say anyone is wrong- everyone's got logical points.
More so of an unethical move than anything. I don't blame Mick or Longze for what's happened, they most likely just didn't consider the fact this may of happened, perhaps they thought there was no point in securing them or nobody would be bold enough to go for it. (I'm not their spokesperson nor a mindreader so I'm just assuming here).

Everything comes with experience and everyone will make mistakes or silly choices, you just got to realise and grow from them. I'd think Longze and Mick learnt something from this.

I'm offering $10 for the domain, OP should probably consider and start wrapping up this deal to avoid further argument.
