Hello everyone, and welcome to an introduction of my server "TribeWars". TribeWars was originally just an idea of mine until a great developer TheRealDan brought it to life! I plan to have the server released before Christmas (December, 25). On to the important information, I'll be sharing how the server works, and how the server is played. I'm going to start by saying its a one of a kind raiding server, and there is no TNT cannons!
What is tribe wars
TribeWars is a raiding server, a lot like factions in a way. You can raid others only with the use of "explosives". You can only raid with Grenades, Sticky grenades, Spawner grenades, and C4 Explosives. You can create a tribe, and claim your tribes 200x200 plot anywhere in the open world. Upon claiming there is a 12 hour grace period where your tribe can't be raided.
What are tribes
Tribes are a way to bring your friends together, the same as a faction. You can invite others to your tribe with /t invite [name]. You can kick players, promote players, as well as claim land, unclaim your land, and even reclaim your land, and last but not least change your tribes color.
What can you do in a tribe
Depending on what rank you are in your tribe (member, admin, owner) you can set your tribes description, change the tribes color, kick players, invite players, and even more.
How can you claim land for your tribe
You can claim your tribes 200x200 plot by using the command /t claim. You can use /t unclaim to unclaim the land, and /t reclaim to automatically reclaim wherever you are standing.
What are the perks of having a tribe
Without a tribe you can't claim land. With a tribe you can claim land, and grow you tribe from the inside out. Creating a tribe gives you a place to start building your base. Without a base your items and spawners would not be safe.
What are tribe cores
Tribe cores are given to you when you claim your land. The tribe core is to be placed inside your tribes land. Anyone in the tribe can use /t home, and they will be teleported to the tribe home. The tribe core location is the location of your tribes home. The tribe core can be upgraded to give your tribe buffs in your claim. The core can be upgraded 5 times.
How do you upgrade your tribes core
You can upgrade your tribes core by crafting the "core upgrade". Once you have the almighty core upgrade, all you have to do is right click your tribe core with the upgrade. You can view what level your tribe core is by shift+rightclick. To craft the core upgrade you need to find 9 of the relics needed, relics 1-9 are hidden around spawn. Once you have all 9 you can craft the core upgrade. Every 48 hours you may pickup the relic again and continue to upgrade your core.
How do you change your tribes "color"
You can change your tribes color or "theme" by doing /t c or /t color. You have 5 colors to pick from, and this will color format your tribe to the color you picked, and there will be a wool ring of the color you picked around your tribes claim.
How do you set your tribes home
You can set your tribes home by moving the tribe core anywhere in your land. Wherever the core is at, the tribe home is directly on top.
What's the reason for upgrading your tribe core
Each time the core is upgraded, your tribe will receive buffs in the claimed land.
How do you raid others
You raid others with explosives, slowly degrading their walls until your through each layer and finally into their base!
What are all the explosives used to raid
You can use grenades, sticky grenades, spawner grenades, and C4. All grenades can be shot out of a grenade launcher (shooting 3 grenades at a time, 3x raiding speed). Spawner grenades have a 100% chance to drop spawners as the rest are only 25% to drop spawners. Each of these explosives do damage to "base building blocks" degrading them over time until they finally break, other blocks have more HP (hit points) than others.
What blocks should I use to build my base
The blocks used to build base walls are, wood, cobblestone, stonebrick, obsidian, and Ironblocks. Ironblocks being the strongest, and wood planks being the weakest. A full base of iron blocks would take MUCH longer to raid than a wooden base.
There is fine tuning to be done with raiding to make it just right. Everything works great and is complete, I just need to configure things to my liking. Please let me know your thoughts about the server and what you think could be improved. Pictures will be added soon, as well as a trailer. The server website is close to being finished as well as the buycraft! The server address will be posted closer to release date. There is much more of the server to be shown that I'm hoping to capture with pictures. I will be often updating this thread with more information on the server!
