Hi I know this is probably the most noobish question an advanced server owner would know the answer to, but how can I fix my server TPS from dropping?

I currently own a really popular 1.13 survival server (Launched 18th april)
(Example: Our discord server went from 1 member to 103 members in about 5 days.

I am paying $120 USD per month for the highest tier VPS on their website and still lag?!

I have seen survival servers with hundreds of players on and yet I can not hold more than 20 players without the TPS dropping extremely.

I have done a spigot /timings report
https://timings.spigotmc.org/?url=golififogu

Any comment or suggestion would be extremely helpful as I believe this lag is driving players away.
Thank you for reading & I look forward to hearing from you.

Also you can reach me on discord if I am not active here:

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

You'd think that. But that really isn't reality. The first server I ever opened up which was Factions peaked at like 75-100 users and people were frequently hitting that off.
Key word "Factions" answers a lot of things though, it's the sad reality that Factions draws in DDoS'ers, Swatters, etc However lucky for the OP he only runs a Survival Server, I've been apart of Networks which had 450+ players online and 200+ of them were on Factions, I use to have about 80+ on launch of my Faction Servers, however everyone preferred Skyblock on my Networks, OVH use to deal with at least one DDoS attack a week for us, and we never went offline, however it depends on who's doing the attacking and how much they "dislike" the Server.

I believe fadehost is hosted on OVH servers so dos attacks shouldn't be an issue.... (Idk)
I think I will look at switching over to a dedi from OVH..
Seems more software related if you have such a large border, especially an unloaded border which eats CPU like no tomorrow
Granted you should still switch to a machine and generate your chunks

How many players do you have?

I've personally never been hit offline when using OVH Dedicated Servers, however as samjoesquid stated he use to get hit quite often and required ProxyPipe.

If you're looking for a System Admin to setup your new Dedicated Server, I'd recommend https://www.mc-market.org/threads/259367/ he's the most popular on MC-Market.

[DOUBLEPOST=1533125254][/DOUBLEPOST]As you can all see, my players are lagging, and I monitor the TPS constantly with featherboard. It's a real shame to see this. I wish I could have a machine that can handle this.

Generate your chunks and switch to a real dedicated machine and you'll be fine. Having 11TPS with 33 players is upsetting (albeit not surprised since chunk generation literally kills a server)

Keep in mind just by upgrading to a better provider doesn't necessarily mean it'll fix your TPS problems

Have you been TP'ing around seeing what your players are doing in-case some of them have a "Lag" Machine, setting off large amounts of TnT, or are purposely trying to generator new chunks in a large scale?

However as Spirit is stating, I'd recommend setting a WorldBorder of 50,000 to 100,000 blocks, maybe and then generating it, it will possibly lag the server for a few hours at least until it's all generated however, you won't run into issues with chunk generation, just chunk loading and unloading :p

Yes I have, the most worst thing I found was a enderman farm with about 15 endermen, and a turtle farm with about 20 turtles

Hey everyone! I would like to thank you in all of your support.
I have moved host over to dedicated GAME machine from OVH for $89/m (Cheaper than a VPS from fadehost.)
The server is now holding a stable 32 players at 19-20 TPS, with almost 3000 entities loaded.
Much appreciated. Thank you all.

It is now at this point, I would not recommend fadehost to anyone haha.
