Alright. I had a bit of a shoutbox ranting going on at the time of this post. Let me just get this straight and clear.

Not all sales representatives are bad or as lazy as the ones I've met so far.

Lets move onto what the thread is about. What do I mean by a "better sales rep"?

This is the scenario(s) that I've gone through within at least 4 times in the past 24 hours with several different service teams that I've gone to (not going to slander/name call them out for fear of this turning into a flame war)

Scenario 1
  1. I post a thread
  2. Sales Rep posts a copy paste message or a slightly customized template saying Come join our service team discord and create a ticket, I'll help you right away!
  3. I join, make ticket.
  4. THEN THEY ASK ME Could I get your thread link? (probably to just copy paste that into a quick commission post and hope someone will take it so they can get EZ money)
  5. Me: Can you get it yourself? You're the sales representative here and I'm a potential customer, please treat me like one and go do your job.
Scenario 2
  1. I post a thread
  2. Sales Rep posts a copy paste message or a slightly customized template saying Come join our service team discord and create a ticket, I'll help you right away!
  3. I join, make ticket.
  4. THEN THEY ASK ME Could I get your budget and timeframe?
  5. Me: ... Did you not read my thread? I literally posted these on there.
    1. Now admittedly, I double check my thread to make sure I did post what they're asking for just to make sure I don't wrongfully bash at them.
Scenario 3
  1. I post a thread
  2. Sales Rep posts a copy paste message or a slightly customized template saying Come join our service team discord and create a ticket, I'll help you right away!
  3. I join, make ticket.
  4. THEN A FREELANCER JOINS .... and they decide they don't want to take the commission. Fine I can understand that, NOT the SALES REP'S FAULT.
  5. Except... now another freelancer comes in and asks me questions that I ALREADY ANSWERED BEFORE.
  1. It is my FIRM BELIEF that SALES REPS should read the chat, understand what the client wants and then brief the freelancer who wants the commission so they don't repeat questions. Its YOUR FUCKING JOB to REPRESENT your service team. Fucking take a minute or two to read through the message history and make sure your fucking freelancer understands what I want!
Scenario 4
  1. Continuing off of the endings of any of the previous 3 scenarios...
  2. I now have a bad image of a "management company" that apparently "manages" 3 supposedly "different" service teams if the sales representative ticked me off.
    1. Starts with an "S" ends with "Inc." I'll say nothing more
  3. Like what is the point of being a huge company that apparently "owns" 3 other "companies" if you can't even get your sales reps throughout each team to be professional and amazing. Hell you guys don't even share freelancers with each other across all your discords so I'd have to go to every different team you own to increase the chances of my request being taken.

Scenario 5
Targeted toward Service Team Owners
  1. The ticket is there, no one has picked up my commission or a similar parallel of scenario 3 happens.
  2. I then ask for someone to get me a "capable" or "competent" freelancer and an administrative or owner types out ":^(" in response to me typing out "My opinion of service teams is ever diminishing."
    1. If what you're about to say could be taken as passive aggressive or just act unprofessionally, don't say it. You just ruined the image of your service team with that unnecessary silly smile. Your potential customer is clearly in distress and if you have nothing reassuring to say, shut up. I left a service team just because of this. Their name starts with A and is the name of an antivirus.
All I'm asking for is... service teams, if you want to raise your image, don't try claiming you're the best team for the job or you'll get someone for your request within a guaranteed timeframe. Don't give me that bullshit. Go back to the basics and teach your Sales Reps what customer service is. You cater to the customer, you get their money, you smile and nod at the customer who is entitled to being treated like royalty and once everything is done you can go back to being the real person you are.

Go for the ones who personally private message you and talks to you like a person, not like robots or with copy-paste like messages.
Funny you should mention. Alot of sales reps have avoided posting copy paste messages on a thread and went to DMs instead. Again, as I mention in the start of my thread there are some who slightly word their template differently but basically give the same gist of "Hey join, make ticket, I'll help you out".

Or do like us and cut SR away, and do the job yourself to make sure it's done the best way possible.
Customers are pretty lazy though. Hence the Sales Rep part of the equation.

I'm a service team owner, who does the SR's job, because we know how annoying copy paste messages is and we want to stop them.
If that's what you meant, by all means, keep being the face and representative of your service team. Brilliant.

"Me: Can you get it yourself? You're the sales representative here and I'm a potential customer, please treat me like one and go do your job."

If I was dealing with you, I'd do a shitty job had you spoke to me like this.

Shameless advertising lol? xD I cant tell if your post is legitimate complimenting my OP or if its just a sneaky way to advertise your discord lol[DOUBLEPOST=1539017098][/DOUBLEPOST]

Thats the issue. As I stated in the OP

Go back to the basics and teach your Sales Reps what customer service is. You cater to the customer, you get their money, you smile and nod at the customer who is entitled to being treated like royalty and once everything is done you can go back to being the real person you are.
If your real personality wants to scream at the customer and talk shit about how they treated you, you can do that AFTER you get my money.

I used to work as a sales rep and a still do and the owners are very strict the thread link is for the freelancer and the budget is for the freelancer. Aswell as we have to use praticaly the same message every time.

I don't have a problem with copy paste messages, so long as the sales rep actually reads the customer's thread to help them immediately with their ticket instead of "Join the server and then talk to me :) "
