Hello,

I have a suggestion that could possibly reduce scamming and also help things overall in the services section. I originally got this idea from Spigot, however we could use the same idea or use the same concept and change it up a bit.

My suggestion is to have requirements for each service forum and once you post a thread in the services forum it has to be approved by the services staff. Then if you don't meet the requirements in your thread (ex. You don't give pricing in your thread) the services staff will send you a PM with what needs to be changed, then once you change it the services staff will approve it and everyone will be able to see your services thread.

We could also have it so that you need a specific amount of posts and registered time on MC-Market to post a thread in the services section like Spigot has.

Let me know your opinions on this.

Thanks,
Dragon

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

How will this prevent scamming?
Just curious.
You can clearly scam when having pricing, and stuff listed.

I don't really see how forcing your threads to match requirements will reduce scamming? Explain a little more

Well for example if one of the requirements is you must provide proof of something and you're trying to sell something that you don't actually have your thread won't be approved. I'm not sure on what the requirements should be, I'm just suggesting a general idea.

I think the staff have enough to do without making sure threads have "appropriate information".
They're not here to baby us.

Take responsibility for yourself when making purchases.
If they don't have the information you want, then get it from them.
Or don't make the purchase.

In any case, nobody wants to wait for a thread approval process.
Just creates more trouble than it's worth.

Won't necessarily prevent scamming but will make the services threads a lot cleaner and more professional. Will also weed out low quality service providers.

Some of the threads in the builders section are an absolute joke:
http://www.mc-market.org/threads/50115/ (even though he's banned now I guess)

That's just one example from the builders area, I'm sure there's loads more in the other services sections.

It would probably slow things down in the long run though, they'd need a minimum of 1 extra staff member to go through everything thoroughly.

I agree with that the most, saw 2 threads that just copied terraformed map pics from PMC and were charging low rates MajorPlaysYT . Their threads were deleted again after a few days and they were banned but it should've been prevented in the first place. If you're also caught plagiarizing builds(or plugins or gfx) you should be banned from offering your services. If you did it once you'll do it again.

The concept works very well on Spigot.

You do realize i'm not banned right? lmao...

And the only reason I used another guys pictures is because I didnt have any of my own worlds for my portfolio... I do make maps but I don't have the time to make a bunch of worlds to get screenshots of what I can do; i'd rather just make my maps and build up a portfolio but MCM don't allow as you need to show examples of what your selling an a'll I have is one 1 video.

Anyway what I did was all resolved so no hard feelings or anything.

I'm pretty sure you were temp banned (it's like 10 days I think), but your thread was removed in the services offering section also.

I'm not going to explain how dumb using someone else's portfolio as an "example", is a justifiable excuse.

Look yes, I was temp banned, I will not justify this and why... but I have been punished - i'm not trying to start arguments here bro...[DOUBLEPOST=1449495713,1449495642][/DOUBLEPOST]

And it seems you missed the part where I said 'this was resolved, no hard feelings'...
