I am assuming OP is from the UK, they just entered lockdown. They are asking if schools should stay open during the lockdown and if the government is wrong from keeping them open.


What you should do is just convert to online, just like how America has in most parts of the country since May when this stuff started

Sure thing - I'm also from the UK.

But if I were to say answer "No" as in, "Schools should be closed", my answer would be "Yes" to "the government is wrong for keeping schools open." I'm not sure whether the poll is referring to the question in the title of the thread or the OP.

Ahhh I see, yeah the wording is weird. I believe the lockdown is justified and that schooling should just be online. I wish that is what our government would do as it's been proven everything is worse because we didnt lockdown xD

Personally think they should stay open, or at least give them the option (like a hybrid model). There should be some health constraints, but schools should stay open. Not to mention, parents can't work if their kids don't got a place to go, so.

Schools should remain open during lockdown. I don't think the government is wrong for keeping schools open during lockdown. Imagine destroying the lower generations' intelligence by closing schools because of "risk of Covid-19".. If you're going to close schools, at least give them funding for online social learning and prepare them with tablets/devices/internet so that they can connect back with the teacher on a educational level. By closing schools, they're preventing education, further distancing the information children need to learn at that age to develop it better. If they close schools without assistance of online education, they should move everyone to the next grade. Otherwise we're breeding a generation of unintelligent beings and withholding their potential by an excuse..

Why does the numbers keep growing then? Here in sweden we had no lockdown, yet we don't have that many cases? It's not about locking down a country it's about what you do against the virus.
