That's the issue, the cartels are basically free to operate in Mexico, and they come into the U.S. and deal. Mexico has done a pathetic job at trying to contain them.

He should have built the wall whilst he had Republicans in both houses, he probably could have got it through then, but even if he's re-elected I doubt he'd get it through now. I think a stronger take on foreign policy would be a good look for the 2020 election, but if he wants to appease his voters then this really goes against the more isolationist, non-interventional image he's built through, for example: pulling out of the Paris Accord, and choosing to not go into Iran. This aside, I would love him to go into Mexico personally, would actually be the funniest shit, and we'd finally get some proper meaty news.
