So the past month I've been partnered with a big PvP focused network and during that time we've made a 1.8 spigot that some features as far as I know, were never done before. The features list is something like:
Now my question is:
- [1] Should I just post this as an update to my current free 1.8 spigot and ask for a donations
- [2] Open-source the Spigot, Post it as an update to my current free 1.8 spigot, And ask for donations to keep the project up
- [3] watermark the Spigot and allow people to pay to remove the watermark Example: Every 5min a broadcast message shows saying "this server is running Light Spigot"
- [4] Make it fully paid straight up. Pay 30$-50$ and get access to the spigot while making the current free 1.8 spigot a "Lite" version of it
- Per-player opponent pvp settings (assign controlled settings to a player's opponents instead of the player himself)
- Thread priority to most events and tasks used during PvP, Async stuff, some multi-threaded tasks
- flawless 1.7 support with all visual bugs/packets issues patched
- Entity optimizations better than any spigot I've seen so far
- Detailed knockback settings (obviously)
- knockback profiles (global and per-player)
- modern pearls (tali, crosspearls and more with over 50+ options)
- Customization from head to bottom. Every message, Every name, Every color is fully customizable
- stripped down spigot. Meaning most features not used on non-pvp gamemodes are removed (meaning this spigot will probably be bad for Factions/SkyBlock)
