Simple Spawn Items Plugin

I am looking for a plugin that is simply where in-game I can just type /setspawnitem and then any item that I'm holding is now a spawn item, where we players join the game the receive it. I also need it so that any commands that are already tied to that item are also tied the the spawn item when players join. Thank you.

just use essentials, with essentials you can make it so people spawn with a kit there for make a kit with what items you want people to spawn with

um... that's kind of confusing... and I don't know how to make the kit, and does it tie in commands?
