I didn't say I do it for free. But I didn't say I want to be paid for it, too. It's up to him what he is doing. I teached Skript to lots of people without getting anything in return. Java is a good programming language, but if someone wants to write only plugins for minecraft servers, Skript is the right way in my opinion. For anything else: Java. It's kinda easy to learn a programming language once someone is experienced with Skript. So why not starting with it? If you know how to do some things there is almost nothing minecraft related you can't do. If you hook skript into a web api it's simply easy and insane at the same time. My database connection is made trough php by using skript. Works better than every Java written minecraft plugin that uses MySQL I've seen.
Please don't say your Skript works better than every other Java plugin you have seen, this is simply not true. Skript is nice to kind of get you into the mindset for a programming language a little bit, but I would only recommend it for little kids. If you feel like taking a challenge, then why not learn Java. I don't want to get into a Skript vs Java fight so I am out of this conversation.
I am not on either side as I've used both but he can do much more than most of the Java developers on this site in skript.

I didn't say my Skript works better. I said my mixture of PHP + Skript + MySQL is better than a mixture of Java + MySQL.

You've summed it up pretty nicely. Saying that, I do not see why people have such hatred for Skript. 95% of people on this forum do not have a server with a player-base above 20. Why do you require such optimization? Most servers here are extremely generic, they have shit all on them. Do people expect these server owners to waste time learning Java to add content to their servers when all they can do is configs?
I understand that using Java is better performance wise, but, Skript is far more convenient to use. Is this why people hate on it? Its easy to use?
I spend a few hours on a Skript. I created a crate type feature where the players could win a certain spawner. It made $600 in a week. This is not to brag, but to show that Skript is an extremely-powerful tool. Use it wisely and you'll benefit greatly.
In my opinion, the reason I believe most developers dislike skript is that people quickly learn skript, and pass it off as professional plugin development while taking jobs from Java developers as the buyer won't know the difference. That, and the 3 required plugins needed to actually use a skript plugin just makes me cringe.
I agree, Skript is a powerful tool for those who don't wish to develop on a professional level, but as soon as you cross that line such as you did, you will undoubtedly be ridiculed by the majority of Java developers. Not saying this to insult you, but it's the way most people feel.
