We are SkyMania, a relatively new and up-coming skyblock server. We have been around for almost 6 months and we have a small daily player base of around 15-30 users.
To preface this post I want to make it known that this position is UNPAID. Depending on server performance monetary rewards will be considered however when applying you should expect to NOT be paid.
The position we are looking to fill is: Community Manager. More information on the role and the server can be found by clicking on the relative spoilers in this thread.
As Community Manager on SkyMania your main focus will be the in-game aspect & the Discord server. We are looking for someone who is a friendly and level headed, who enjoys working with the community. Your role is all about the players, you will moderate the players and staff team, run community events (such as drop parties etc.) and be an information point for the players. You will also have administrator permissions and will be able to fix minor bugs and glitches. You will also be expected to report bugs/glitches to the development team in order for them to be fixed.
Requirements:
- At least 15 years of age
- Have a Minecraft & Discord account
- Have a working microphone and be able to talk over voice chat
- Be confident and fluent in writing/reading/speaking English
- Have experience playing Minecraft for 2+ years and also have experience with skyblock/Spigot servers.
- Must be hard working & dedicated and be able to spend at least 10 hours weekly online.
- Be friendly!
- Live in the United States
- Experience managing/staffing servers previously
- Spigot/Bukkit knowledge and ability to diagnose issues efficiently.
- Come up with ideas for new additions to the server.
We are a small community skyblock server that opened in July of 2018. Since July, we've amassed a user base of 900 members in our Discord server, and additionally a consistent daily player base on the server of 20+ players. We aim to increase this everyday and spend a lot of our revenue and time advertising the server. While it is not expected we welcome any staff on the team to assist with advertising!
The server has been developed and setup by me (Selectaa). We have a lot of custom features not seen before on skyblock, and we love community suggestions and always try and add plugins the players ask for.
