[Small Rant] For All Those Service Companies Out There....

Attention All Service Companies​

Please read the thread before you post you spam message. I've been requesting a few things recently, and a lot of you do not even read my thread.

An example of this just happened today. I requested a xenforo design for $10. I put in the thread that my budget was very low, and I understand that it's a really low amount for a design. Anyways, someone adds me on discord. I greet them friendly and then continue working on what I was doing. He sends a message asking "What do you need?"

I'm thinking are you serious? You added me and you don't know why? I tell him that he added me. He says:

I copy and paste my thread into the discord and he links me to their company. They tell me to create a ticket and wait until someone takes my job.

Anyways, after waiting for awhile, a designer finally joins and answers my ticket. I greet him, and tell him what I would like. He replies back after a few minutes and tells me that my budget is too low. He asks if I could go higher and I reply saying I cannot. So not only did I not get someone to do a design for me, I also wasted my time with them.


So please, Minecraft Service "companies", DO NOT say that you can do a job if you actually can't.

TLDR: Wasted my time with a company. Said he could do a design for me but after a while, I figure out they can't due to my budget.

As an owner, I’m not in Gabe bushes s of creating products, I’m in the business of advertising. With that said, it is in everyone’s best interest to gather as many potential clients as possible. The majority of clients can afford the prices most teams charge and thereby people like yourself are the exception. As long as people can afford the teams prices the behavior will continue.

I understand you're trying to get as many potential clients as possible. But blindly posting on threads with the same message without reading the thread isn't helpful. It makes your company look bad and it wastes people's time.

Also, just because only some people can't afford the team's price, you think it's ok for them to spam threads without reading them?

Honestly, service companies have become a joke on here. Literally EVERY one of these spams EVERY thread with the EXACT SAME copy paste. A minority of these service companies SLIGHTLY edit their copy/paste template to shows acknowledgement of what was requested in the thread, but the rest it is just copy paste with no editing across threads at all. It is spammy and annoying.

Honestly, service companies have become a joke on here. Literally EVERY one of these spams EVERY thread with the EXACT SAME copy paste. A minority of these service companies SLIGHTLY edit their copy/paste template to shows acknowledgement of what was requested in the thread, but the rest it is just copy paste with no editing across threads at all. It is spammy and annoying.

I remember when there were only like 2-3 companies. They were professional, mature, and actually knew what they were posting. That's why they were so successful.

Now, we just have a whole bunch of "companies" (I wouldn't even call them companies) that spam threads and beg for clients. Its horrible and needs to be stopped or at least slow down.

The problem is with the sales reps, they are the ones who write on the threads. If Sales Reps read the threads, and talked to freelancers before doing the job, there wouldn't be this problem.

Mick has already multiple times proven that he don't fully understand all aspects of this website and fairly often takes the wrong turn (in my opinion) He doesn't really listens to the community...as an example I could mention his decision to remove "Free" and "Shop" tags from "Builds" section while other sections still have those prefixes. Many people who are active in this specific section asked to return those tags but we were ignored...

Same goes for SSL...whole community basically had to force it but at the end of the day it still wasn't implemented properly...

I must honestly say I have started to look elsewhere and lately I spend less and less time on MCM.

Even though I am a sale representative in Sintyx myself I can relate to that a little. I did use to invite users with a very small budget and after they got the news that their budget was too low, they freaked out and started screaming and hating on me. so, yeah, don't do it pals
Also, MrF has been talked to about the issue and has learned his lesson as well.

This is why I choose to go with freelancers, not noly due to the process being easier, but also because I know all funds are going to the person creating the product(s) I’m purchasing.

With what you said, yeah. Sales Rep’s, especially ones that are untrained and don’t know how to be a good sales rep tend to do things like that, forgetting everything and doing random stuff like that.
