SSL Certificate, please add this.

I've seen other threads on this, and it was denied because it costs money.
Thing is, cloudflare provides a free ssl in their Security tab.

Why SSL?
It's secure. It encrypts logins and data transmitted between the user and server.

What about external images using HTTP?
Xenforo has an image proxy built right into it, find it:
Settings > Options > Messages > Image and Link Proxy

Please, please add this. It's so simple and gives extra security.

CloudFlare SSL powers a good % of websites that run SSL on the internet. They offer free SSL to every person who uses their website. It also allows you to use your own SSL certificate, not sure why you'd want to, however.

I'd say a website that has MARKET in it's name might benefit from having the security on it.

How come portfolio sites, or google has SSL? Last time I checked, MCMarket has more transactions than deviantart has going through it w/ account upgrades, but could be wrong

An SSL certificate would not protect your purchases, considering most purchases made on this forums are through middleman services or third-party sellers.
The only benefit an SSL certificate currently has is to make the site look more professional.
when in-fact, MC-M does not store confidential data to your PayPal or other payment methods - Making an SSL certificate next to redundant.

i see the need to - most people share passwords between sites, so i could listen for your mc market password, and then use it to guess your more important site passwords - like your bank

MCM will lose AdSense revenue, if they don't add TLS you will still continue to use MCM so they won't do it. Sorry that's how the world works.

That's why proxies exist? MC-Market would proxy traffic that isn't HTTPS. It's pretty basic stuff. That's how all other sites do it, included spigot.

I'm pretty sure Aderm already said how easy it was? You can literally search it, click a link, select a checkbox.
