Staff Member Vote-Off

I think that if enough people have a complaint against a particular staff member, that there should be a vote taken (by poll). If this vote is over 75% yes to remove them, then they should be removed from the staff team. This would be useful if a particular member is being abusive or is hated in the community, and disrupting the experiences of others. This is a marketplace after all, not a concentration camp. Leave your opinions below.

so you're saying the sample group for the vote should be the whole community?
go right ahead then, I guess. If this suggestion is implemented with the requirement every non-banned member on the site (and/or those that posted in the last month or so) votes on it, nothing will happen anyway.

Oh so that means you didn't read the whole thread the first time, great.. This suggestion is crazy at all, it is perfectly valid. I am sure the other disagrees just read the title as well. It would be a community vote among everyone, and if over 75% of the community as a whole agrees that they should be voted off given the circumstances, at that point is when action would be taken.

And see, that's the problem. Other staff members and a few members of the community might believe that they are indeed good staff members. However the community may think otherwise. This forum wouldn't be here without the community, correct? I think we should have a say instead of it all being based on what you guys want.

The community wouldn't make honest and informed decisions. Contrary to popular belief, this isn't and can never be a completely community ran operation.

Like You forgot the part where he mentioned "within reason". This wouldn't be within reason and even Ajdin has said himself that he thinks we have good staff members at this time.

I personally don't have much of problem with the current staff team but it seems like others do. And I believe it is a reasonable poll that can be taken, as there might be some not making honest and informed decisions but if over 75% of the community votes for something, changes should be made.

This is a good point. How would you determine 75% of the "community"? Active users in the last day, week, month? Pretty sure 75% of the community is a few thousand people...

75% would be a little less than 20,000 members.

Of course it would be active users but you have a point.

Even for active members. You're still looking at a couple thousand.

People will just report is for giving them a warning, this would never work. It would be full of false information
