Want to get started in the hosting family.

I would like to know how like aquatis or nolag.host manage to go $1/gb.

And i won't do any re-sell vps on OVH. I'm gonna buy my own dedi in the future. For now i will learn how hosting works, WHMCS And a lot more.

Need some tips on where to start and what Dedi hosting should i go for.

Thanks!

WHMCS, Multicraft, dedicated server, SSL certification, lots of money and lots of hard work.

If you dont know much about hosting dont go into it. The market is over saturated. People like aquatis either have owned hardware or very good deals on dedicated servers. If you dont know how to deal with WHMCS, multicraft or node managment I would suggest not going into it. If you want to get into hosting then get a job at an already established company

Well danthebrony43 provides a good VM Slice which is basically a Dedi, You will need a lot of money though for you to fall back onto for the first year since you wont be expecting many purchases until you become more known, Try maybe a custom Panel or a free one since Multicraft is pretty expensive, And basically everything else Harrison Sawyer said :)
I know the first year, phase or quarter of starting a host is a pain. And like what i said, i would rather learn all about hosting & while doing that i would save money for VM or Dedi and learn HTML, CSS & PHP to get up and run the website. But for now i would not think that i would even start one, but i might be.

I'll probably won't respond to any partners since i have low IQ in hostings :p

Well if you do Good Luck!
I'll try to ask some hosting providers if it's worth it since i don't think they can pay their dedi's with their cheap hosting prices :p

Buy an older server, with large qantities of RAM. (64-128GB) then colocate it in a cheap DC. There isnt alot to be made selling at $1 per GB, but thats how i would go about it.

Be prepared to have at least a couple $1,000,000 to start. You will have to build a data center and get racks, power, staff, and network connections. Then expect to spend around $4000 on a couple servers to sell. Finally, you'll need at least $10,000 to pay enough staff to maintain the center.

Seriously though, It's a saturated market. I've invested around $300 - 400 in my hosting service in the last 4 months and we're currently doing revamp. If you don't have a steady income from somewhere else more than $100 - 200 month it most likely won't last long.
