Starting a Minecraft server, What do I need to know

Hello, I am interested in starting a Minecraft minigame server with the intent of making it public and getting active players. However I have some questions that I'm hoping that some of you may be able to answer.

1. What hosting provider should I use
2. How much ram will the server need
3. What would be the estimated cost to setup a mini game server
4. Is it really worth the time to make one

PebbleHost
High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

1) Depends if you want a dedi (something I'd recommend) either OVH or Hetzner unless you contact services such as EnviroMC or Clovux and sort out a special deal.
2) Depends on the number of plugins and players.
3) Once again depends on the number of game modes and how much you need developed/built.
4) If you don't have any prior experience in owning a server I wouldn't recommend starting up a server as complex as a minigames server.

In conclusion, it's all honestly based on the server as a whole. There's no fixed amount of money you need to invest into the server, however, if you want it to become large then you'll need over $500 for advertisement alone if you would like to hire youtubers with fairly good statistics. Nonetheless, wish you the best of luck :)
