some real criticism, holy crap. first of all people dont have to buy a 4k, not saying that. its just there because you might get those guys who just want to have the best montage to showcase one of their best builds in minecraft who dont mind spending alot of money to compensate for it. if anything i would like if people bought the pro package which gives you 1440p. i have the standard package for those who just dont want to spend alot of money but have something good. i dont do good, i try to do the best. like i said 4k isnt just what you get. if you get the 4k cinematic i willl give you the option to have POM and PBR textures included in the texturepack. you might be asking. what the hell is POM and PBR, here my freind please skip through the video and watch it to better understand how unique and crazy pom and pbr is in minecraft. i have experience with this and know how to do it. thats one of the benefits you get if you order a 4k cinematic. im debated whether i want to do it for 1440p but i havent made up my mind yet. a 4k cinematic would make the textures in minecraft look so realistic and fucking 3d that you want even think its minecraft. yes everyone dont have a 4k monitor, i understand that but a 4k video on yotube will make the video not pixelated and get rid of the blur with pixels and just crappy visuals. i've been testing out youtube quality and compression and fyi the higher the video resolution is, the less it will be compressed. so with that being said it is tessted that a 4k video will barely get compressed because of the resolution. believe me man, i've tested this all out. thats why when you go to my yotube you see rnadom videos.Hey there, just a few things:
First of all, there are a lot of attacks in this thread. Come on guys, you're better than this.
Second, let the guy price things how he wants. He can adjust prices according to demand, or lack thereof. You don't walk into a supermarket and when you get to the cash register start bargaining for the lemons.
To the OP: It looks good. Sky and water need some work. They move too quick, and it detracts from the rest of what's on the screen. People's eyes naturally follow movement. If you want to highlight the grass swaying in the wind, the water or sky has to be moving slower than it.
Textures are okay, but I imagine this is just a resource pack you've loaded into your art program? They are so high resolution they take away from what makes Minecraft Minecraft, to me.
Finally I want to throw out that while it's awesome that you can render 4k videos, the question begs: who is the audience that is going to watch a commercial that's 10-30 seconds in 4k? The majority of people will see it in its default youtube size without maximizing or it will be a clip on the side of a page. Not trying to slam you, I just think you might want to shift your paradigm. I don't think video resolution is really a selling point -- you might include multiple resolutions though (high, med, low) for a certain price rather than just high for a lower price.
Anyway just my thoughts. Good luck!
edit: forgot, it's spelled "Professional", not "Professinal" in your main header.
Haha, yeah man I know what a lot of that stuff means. I was doing 3D twenty years ago back when raytracing was just coming outsome real criticism, holy crap.
Dont mind that video i posted man, i know the leaves and water was hella fast. i was editing the shader pack and slowing down the terrain really slow to speed the video up in post productin to give it the illussion that its in 60fps. think of it has slowing down something so much and speeding it up in the editing software to give the look that it was recorded live with no editing. i basically do that and as for that video. it was a test. i'ved fixed it now but i was just testing out a cc and a atmospheric lens.Haha, yeah man I know what a lot of that stuff means. Anyway, if the style of realism is what you're going for, it looks awesome. Just tweak it a bit (mostly the sky/clouds) and I think you're solid.
Also something you might appreciate: if you throw a bit of diffuse noise over the video, it will cause it to appear more realisticTry different values. Start low and bring up the noise until it's too visible, then cut back. I think you'll really appreciate the results!
That idea seems a bit too crazy but you might actually have a point. because when you watch tv its usually in 30fps. which gives it a more realistic look. when im done with this 4k cinematic, i will render out a clip in 24-30 fps. thanksI feel that 60 FPS is breaking the illusion. 60 FPS is what we expect to see in games. Why don't you try to shoot for 24 FPS, like film? I think you might solicit a more natural and organic feeling. 60 FPS feels a little sterile -- almost too clean.
